Spinach is not so popular in our country,as, for example, in European countries. In France, it is called the "royal leafy vegetable" and is grown wherever there is space. It is not known for certain where it appeared, presumably in Persia, in the Middle East before our era, that is, a very long time ago. And then, many centuries later, the Arabs brought it to the Spanish shores, and that is how it got to Europe. Then it "settled" in America, where it is still highly respected and revered. The plant has gained immense popularity among US residents. Spinach leaves do not have such a bright and expressive taste as other greens or vegetables. They do not last long and lose freshness relatively quickly. So why are they so popular? It's all about the nutrients, and spinach has a lot of them - proteins, carbohydrates and even fats, unsaturated and organic acids, sugars, starch and fiber, many trace elements and vitamins. Its main value is that it contains more protein than legumes such as beans and green peas. Even when cooked, spinach retains many vitamins and elements. Of course, other vegetables and greens also have valuable properties, but you won’t find such a rich composition anywhere else — the benefits cannot be underestimated. Saturating the body with nutrients, spinach removes toxins and waste, increasing hemoglobin. It helps saturate cells with oxygen, stimulates metabolism and charges your body with energy for the whole day.
