Everyone knows about whey used in the cosmetic industry, but many consider real whey to be a waste product. Having received it at home, the whey is simply poured out, not knowing that with its help you can significantly improve the health of the body, get rid of problems with the liver and kidneys. Thus, by eating pancakes with whey, you can help your health a little.
How to prepare natural whey at home?
You can buy pancake whey at the store,but a fresh product of your own preparation will be much healthier. Housewives who know how to make homemade cottage cheese do not need a whey recipe, it often appears as a waste product from preparing this dish. If you are not such an experienced cook, you can make whey following our recipe. To prepare whey you will need:
- Milk. It is better to take a real village, but you can get by and packaged.
- Lemon.
- Two enameled pans of 2 liters.
- Gauze or sieve.
Pour the sour milk into an enamel bowlsaucepan and, stirring, cook over low heat. The milk should not boil under any circumstances. When heated, the milk will separate into curd and whey. As soon as the mass begins to boil, turn off the stove and let the contents of the saucepan cool. Secure the gauze folded in two layers to the second saucepan so that it can withstand the weight of the curd. Carefully filter the cooled mass, separating the curd from the whey. If there is no sour milk, then you can use fresh milk in the following way. Bring the milk to a boil and pour in the strained juice of 1 lemon. Remove from heat and let cool. You should get a mass of separated curd and whey. You can start making pancakes.
The recipe for pancakes on the serum
The recipe for making pancakes with whey canbe both with and without eggs. If you do not want to add eggs to the dough, then to prepare pancakes based on our recipe, you need to take the following ingredients:
- Serum. It's good if it's still warm.
- Flour Extra Class.
- Sugar, salt, soda.
- Vegetable (sunflower) oil.
While stirring or whisking the dough, addflour into warm whey until a creamy mass is formed. The dough should be thick enough, but pourable. Add sugar and salt. You need a little sugar so that the dough is not sweet. The amount of soda depends on the acidity of the whey. Constantly taste the dough. The soda should be felt, but very little. If there is too little soda, the pancakes will not be fluffy, and a large amount of it will spoil the taste of the pancakes. You can try the very first pancake and, based on its taste, correct the ratio of ingredients. Add a little vegetable oil, literally a few spoons. After this, the dough should be left in a warm place for at least an hour. Ideally, when the dough is prepared in the evening, and the pancakes will be baked in the morning. Pancakes are cooked over medium heat and preferably in a cast-iron frying pan. You can also use a Teflon pan, but it must be greased with oil every 2 pancakes. If you want to make fluffy pancakes, then the dough should be poured into the middle of the frying pan and allowed to spread without additional manipulation. Pancakes are cooked under a covered lid. In this case, they are baked and rise well. After a couple of minutes, turn the pancake over and close the lid again.

With the help of the filling, pancakes on whey can be made into a hearty dish for lunch, a great snack or a sweet dessert. Hearty and tasty whey pancakes with freshly made cottage cheese are perfect for breakfast. The recipe for such pancakes is quite simple. For the filling you will need:
- 500 g of cottage cheese;
- 1 whole egg;
- 2 yolks;
- 3 tbsp. spoons of sugar;
- 1 teaspoon of semolina;
- Salt;
- Raisins;
- Vanilla sugar (vanillin) to taste.
Mash the cottage cheese with a fork and mix with the yolks.Steam the raisins with boiling water for about 5 minutes. Add raisins, sugar, semolina, vanilla and salt to the cottage cheese. Mix everything thoroughly. It is important to remember that the consistency of the filling for whey pancakes should be thick enough so that it does not leak out through the holes. Put a sufficient amount of filling on the pancake and wrap it like cabbage rolls. Put the stuffed pancakes in a frying pan and lightly fry on both sides. Cottage cheese with coconut

- 250 g cottage cheese;
- 1st. a spoonful of sour cream;
- 3 tbsp. tablespoons of powdered sugar;
- 3 tbsp. spoons of coconut shavings;
- Raisins.
