Lush flower from satin ribbon
A great decoration for a festive outfit! To make such a lush flower we will need:
- three meters of satin ribbon,
- thread in the tone of the tape,
- sewing needle,
- piece of felt or felt.
First, let's improve the feed.Let's take it and stretch it on one long side so that this edge of the ribbon becomes wavy. To do this, simply pull the longitudinal threads of this edge and cut off what is pulled out of the ribbon. Now make two folds on this side and sew them up. Next, begin to roll the ribbon into a spiral (in a circle) forming a flower. Note that the wavy edge of the ribbon should be on the outside of the flower! We fasten the twisting place with threads as we go, and tuck the remaining edge of the ribbon under the flower and sew it on. Cut a circle out of felt and glue or sew our lush flower onto it. Flower from a nylon tape
Remember what kind of bows were woven into the braids?Soviet schoolgirls? Today, it is problematic to buy nylon ribbons, but it is possible. And if you have such translucent ribbons somewhere at home or you bought them by chance, then try to make an original flower from nylon ribbon with your own hands. To make it, we will need:
- meter wide nylon tape,
- sewing pins,
- scissors,
- needle with thread.
First, we fold the ribbon into a pentagon.Place it on the table with the long edge facing you. Step back about fifteen centimeters from the short edge and fold the ribbon upwards away from you at a right angle. Pin the fold and unfold the ribbon again with the long edge facing you. Measure fifteen centimeters again (by eye) and fold the ribbon at a right angle again. Repeat this operation five times and you will get a pentagonal figure. If there is an extra tail of ribbon, cut it off. Now baste the outer edge of the pentagon with short stitches. Without removing the thread from the ribbon or cutting it, tighten the baste and remove the pins. In this case, the inner edge of the pentagon will straighten out and become the outer edge of the flower, and the tightened edge will turn into the lower side of the flower. In the same way, fold the pentagon for the second tier, only now make the sides of the pentagon twice as short. Fold the tiers of the flower and sew them together. Straighten the petals. By the way, such flowers can be made from a narrow nylon ribbon or even from a narrow strip of organza or any other light fabric (chiffon, tulle).
Dahlia
Flowers made from nylon ribbons will be a beautifulan alternative to elegant bows and will decorate a schoolgirl's hairdo. In addition, flowers made in this way can become an original decoration for curtains. To make such a dahlia with your own hands, prepare:
- a wide kapron tape (4 meters),
- Needle and thread (in color ribbon),
- ruler and pencil.
These flowers are quite easy to make and lookand just gorgeous. First, you need to make a zigzag mark on the tape with a step of eight centimeters. In this way, triangles with an eight-centimeter base along the edges of the tape will be drawn on the tape. Sew the drawn broken line with short stitches with one long thread and tighten it as much as possible. Now twist the tape into a spiral (caterpillar), twisting its tightened edge, and secure the thread. Sew the twisted base.
Chamomile
Such cute and simple flowers can be made fromany ribbons. Both nylon and satin ribbons will do for daisies. But their width should not be less than four centimeters. Although, narrow ribbons will just make small flowers. So, to make such daisies, we prepare:
- ribbons of any color,
- buttons for the middle of flowers,
- scissors,
- a needle and a thread.
We cut the ribbons into twenty-five pieces(thirty centimeters) long. Fold the ribbon along the grain. The width of the lower part should be two millimeters larger than the upper part. Sew the folded ribbon with short stitches, laying the seam along the edge of the fold, and tighten the thread as much as possible, forming a flower. Fasten the thread, and sew a button into the middle of the flower. If you are making very small flowers, then instead of buttons you can use beads or rhinestones, which, by the way, can not only be sewn on, but also glued. Flower in Kansas technique
The tsumami kanzashi technique is used to make simplechic flowers. Most often, satin ribbons are used for such flowers, but you can make flowers from nylon ribbons or from scraps of organza, silk or chiffon. For the flower we will need:
- any ribbon,
- candle,
- needle with thread;
- scissors;
- beads or rhinestones.
So, take any wide ribbon and cut it intosquare flaps, and burn the cut edges over a flame. Fold the square diagonally and pinch the right angle of the resulting triangle with your finger. Now fold one sharp corner and press it to the right angle, and then fold the second corner in the same way. Then squeeze the folded corners with your fingers and melt them over the flame so that they stick together. As a result, we get one petal of our future flower. Make five to seven petals and collect them on a thread, stringing the melted edges on a needle. You can make a flower with one tier of petals, with two or even three - it's up to you.
