- Garlic - 3 cloves

Method of preparation:First, you need to cook the meatballs. To do this, mix sour cream with breadcrumbs, add water, minced meat, finely chopped onions and dill, salt and spices. Mix the resulting mass well and beat it. After that, lightly moisten your hands with water (so the minced meat will not stick to your hands) and mold small balls. Fry them over medium heat. There is no need to try to bring them to readiness, the purpose of frying is to get a golden crust, the meatballs can remain raw inside. After frying, the meatballs are placed in a baking dish. Fry until golden brown. Then add water, spices and simmer until thick. After that, pour the sauce over the meatballs and bake for about 15 minutes at 200 degrees. Mashed potatoes, pasta or boiled rice can be served as a side dish.
Recipe for meatballs with cottage cheese and tomato sauce
This recipe is very unusual.After all, it is not the rice that many are accustomed to that is added to the minced meat for the meatballs, but cottage cheese. However, it is thanks to it and a special sauce recipe that the meatballs turn out tender, fluffy and incredibly delicious. Ingredients:
- Minced beef - 400 g
- Egg - 1 pc.
- Cottage cheese - 100-120 g
- Onion - 1 pc.
- Bread - 100-150 g
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Cream or milk - 2 tbsp.
- Greens — 0.5 bunch
- Prepared mustard - 1 tsp.
- Spice
- Salt
- Vegetable oil
Ingredients for the sauce:
- Tomatoes - 2 pcs.
- Bell pepper - 2 pcs.
- Onion - 2 pcs.
- Ketchup - 30 g
- Carrots - 1 pc.
- Tomato paste — 2 tbsp.
- Starch - 1 tbsp.
- Sugar - 1 tbsp.
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Greenery
- Salt, spices
- Water or broth - 300 ml
Method of preparation:Chop the onion and garlic (or grate them), add the ground beef. Soak the bread in milk or water, squeeze it out and put it in a bowl with the minced meat. Mix well. The next step is to add cottage cheese, eggs, mustard, chopped greens, milk (cream), salt and spices. Mix again. After that, mold round balls from the resulting mass. They can be the same size as cutlets or a little smaller. Roll them in flour and fry. Now prepare the sauce. This recipe can be used not only for meatballs, but also for cabbage rolls or stuffed peppers. Chop the ingredients as finely as possible, grate the carrots. Put the onion and carrot in a frying pan with heated vegetable oil and lightly fry. Add the tomatoes and bell peppers and fry for another 3-4 minutes. Then add sugar, ketchup, salt and tomato paste. Simmer the mixture for about 3 minutes. Dilute the starch in a small amount of water or broth and pour into the sauce. Stir, add the remaining broth, herbs and chopped garlic. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes over very low heat. After the sauce is ready, dip the fried meatballs into it. It is very important that they are completely covered with liquid. If there is not enough sauce, you can add a little more water. Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes. Serve with any side dish: stewed vegetables, potatoes, boiled rice.
