The need to look well-groomed andattractive, the natural desire to look as if age had never approached the mark of "18", the truly feminine curiosity with which the fair sex treats everything new, played a cruel joke. Misconceptions and prejudices regarding the care of appearance and its numerous methods have turned into myths, which are often not dispelled by the irrational feminine principle, or perhaps simply the desire to succumb to the illusions of the existence of an elixir of eternal youth and a magic recipe for beauty. There are many such myths and misconceptions:

All home made cosmetic masks are useful

It is a common misconception that forAny fruits, berries and vegetables are suitable for cosmetic procedures. Similar advice can be read in many women's magazines, in the "cosmetologist's advice" sections, assuring that a face mask or scrub can be made from almost everything in the refrigerator. Unfortunately, not all gifts of nature are suitable for use in cosmetics. Some can cause allergies, especially the well-known strawberry mask, as well as blackcurrant berries, for others - some overseas imported fruits, a radiation dosimeter is often needed, and some are simply useless. Honey-based masks can cause allergies, especially if the composition of the mask is incorrectly calculated. Fruit acids, undoubtedly useful for cleansing, nourishing, lifting the skin, in their natural form can cause rashes, redness and tightening of the skin. It is better not to apply masks from cherries, grapes, apple juice, orange juice if tomorrow is a working day or an important meeting. It is also worth considering that the effects of radiation, unfavorable environmental conditions, call into question the benefits of many imported products, the season for which has not yet arrived. In some cases, a radioactivity dosimeter will not be at all superfluous for testing a product that raises doubts. Unfortunately, the above-mentioned misconceptions are quite widespread, and dissipate only when, as they say, the result is "on the face."

Natural - means useful

Masks and scrubs based on natural clay –quite an effective skin care product. But not always. The type of clay chosen, of which there are many, is of great importance - a green clay mask, which is great for combination and oily skin types, applied for 20 minutes, will not bring anything good to the owner of dry skin except for a feeling of tightness, redness, and sometimes peeling. It is worth paying close attention to the origin of the clay, to the fact that the natural radioactivity of the area where it was produced, i.e. this wonderful product is packaged, also matters. Clay is a natural powerful sorbent, literally absorbing harmful components of the soil and atmosphere.

Homemade scrubs are also a controversial issue

The opinion that a scrub, for example, is based onapricot kernel scrub, prepared at home, is better than the purchased one, is quite controversial. Large abrasive particles irritate, hurt sensitive skin, and in the summer, in the heat, can lead to inflammatory processes. A scrub made from coarse salt is another common home recipe. If salt as a body scrub in combination with softening components can still have some exfoliating and toning effect, then the skin on the face will not withstand such torture - it is much more tender. French women say about this method: "You can salt anything except your face."

And again about clay and scrubs

Natural clay scrubs rich in salts andmicroelements, perfectly nourishing the skin, deeply cleansing the pores, having a bactericidal effect are extremely useful. However, it is worth paying attention to who and where this product was made. Clay is a dry powder of white, blue, green, other colors, it is very easy to fake, offering lovers of natural cosmetics at best colored chalk or other types of clay that have no value, being just waste from the mining industry and construction: red clay, yellow clay. Often these types are positioned by some unscrupulous manufacturers and are found on sale as cosmetic types of clay, but this is not so. Even if we have natural clay in front of us, and the consequences of radiation in the area where it was mined do not manifest themselves in any way, it will not bring any benefit, because the mineral composition is extremely poor, and they will simply tighten and dry the skin. Pink clay is of particular interest. In nature, such does not exist, these are just red and white types of clay mixed by enterprising manufacturers. If white clay or kaolin is a useful product that cleanses, dries the skin and tones it up a bit, then red clay is just a “nice” useless add-on in a bag and a natural dye. Beware of fakes! Author:
