Sweet tooths and gourmets are not just amateurscakes and chocolate. Many of them would be happy to taste fresh fruit or make a fruit salad. By the way, fruit salads are a great, light and practically harmless to the figure dessert. Therefore, those who love sweets and count calories can safely indulge themselves with this dessert. The salad, of course, is easy to cut. But what can you dress a fruit salad with? Let's find out how recognized culinary masters and simply experienced lovers of such desserts cope with this. Juice dressings are the first thing that comes to mind. Naturally, serving a sauce based on fruit juices to a fruit salad is the best (in terms of calorie content) option. Most often, juices from the same fruits from which the dessert is made are used for such sauces. But you can dress a fruit salad with a mixture of other juices.
Saute juice from sea buckthorn
Ingredients:
- Sea-buckthorn juice (1 glass)
- Ground cinnamon (1 teaspoon)
- Honey (1 tablespoon)
Preparation:If you have fresh sea buckthorn berries, squeeze the juice out of them. If not, use ready-made juice. Grind the cinnamon with honey. Pour off some juice and warm it up. Dissolve the honey and cinnamon in the warm juice and mix with the remaining sea buckthorn juice.
Citrus sauce
Ingredients:
- Juice 1 orange;
- Juice of half a lemon;
- Ground ginger (1 teaspoon)
Preparation:Squeeze the juice from one whole orange and half a lemon. Remove the zest from the other half of the lemon (grate it on a fine grater). Mix the juices and add the zest and ginger. Sweeten the sauce if desired.
Hot Pineapple Sauce
Ingredients:
- Pineapple juice (2 tablespoons)
- Fresh pineapple (2 rings)
- Lemon juice (1 teaspoon)
- Grated ginger root (1 teaspoon)
- Walnuts (handfuls)
- Black pepper
- Salt
- Basil
Preparation: Mix pineapple and lemon juice.Finely chop three or four basil leaves. Cut fresh pineapple into small cubes. Grate ginger root. Grind the nuts in a blender or coffee grinder until an oily paste forms. Mix all ingredients, add a pinch of salt and ground black pepper to the sauce. Note: This sauce is great for dressing avocado salads. And instead of chopped walnuts, you can use ready-made walnut oil (1 teaspoon).
Apple-banana sauce
Ingredients:
- Apple juice (half a glass)
- Banana (1 pc.)
- Carrot juice (half a glass)
Preparation:Peel one very ripe and very soft banana, cut it into several pieces and put it in a blender. Add freshly squeezed apple and carrot juice. Whip it up. Add sugar if desired. In fact, fruit sauce can be made from almost any fruit. Mash soft berries and bananas into a puree. Squeeze the juice out of hard fruits and citrus fruits and add spices (cinnamon, cloves, ginger, vanilla) to the sauce. You can also add a little milk or heavy cream to such sauces. Or you can dress the fruit salad with a sauce made from dairy products.
Ice cream filling
Ingredients:
- Vanilla Ice Cream (500 g.)
- Raisins (2 tablespoons)
- Chocolate (half a tile)
Preparation:Let the ice cream melt until soft. Wash and sort the raisins. Grate the chocolate or shave it with a sharp knife. Mix the ice cream with the raisins and chocolate and dress the salad. Put it in the refrigerator so that the ice cream “sets”.
Dressing with yogurt
Ingredients:
- Fruit yogurt (1 glass);
- Sugar (1chechaya spoon);
- Semolina (2 tablespoons);
- Cinnamon (half a teaspoon);
- Salt (pinch).
Preparation:Whip the yogurt with sugar in a blender or with a mixer, add a pinch of salt and semolina. Let the sauce sit for about ten minutes so that the semolina swells. When serving the salad, sprinkle it with ground cinnamon.
Cream sauce
Ingredients:
- Cream for whipping (1 glass)
- Ice cream (100 g)
- Condensed milk (1 tablespoon)
Preparation: Mix all ingredients and blend in a blender. You can use any fruit syrup instead of condensed milk.
Sour cream sauce
Ingredients:
- Fatty sour cream (1 glass);
- Sugar (1 tablespoon).
Preparation:Whip the sour cream and sugar together in a blender or with a mixer. You can do without whipping, just grind the sugar with sour cream until it is completely dissolved. You can also prepare more exotic sauces for the fruit salad. They are still unusual for us, but in European restaurants such dressings and sauces are served with fruit desserts. Will you try them?
Wine and honey sauce
Ingredients:
- Wine vinegar (2 tablespoons)
- Olive oil (2 tablespoons)
- Honey (1 teaspoon)
- Salt (pinch)
Preparation: Dissolve honey in vinegar and mix with olive oil. Shake the mixture well and add a pinch of salt.
Cheese cream
Ingredients:
- Cheese mascarpone or fatty cottage cheese (200 g)
- Sugar (1 tablespoon)
- Passion fruit juice or mango (2 tablespoons)
- Vanilla
Preparation:Grind the cheese with sugar, add vanilla and juice. Mix everything thoroughly again. If the cream is too thick, you can dilute it with sour cream. As you can see, there are quite a few options for dressing a fruit salad. In addition, you can dress the fruit salad with ready-made whipped cream, sprinkle it with nuts and chocolate, decorate it with mint or basil leaves. Some gourmets enjoy eating fruit salads dressed with mayonnaise (but this is, of course, an acquired taste). And someone adds celery juice to fruit dressings (also an acquired taste). By the way, you don’t have to dress the fruit salad at all! Sprinkle it (a little) with powdered sugar and mix. The fruit will immediately give off juice, and you won’t have to rack your brains over what kind of dressing to come up with for the fruit salad. So eat the fruit and make light desserts from it. Cook with pleasure! We recommend reading:
