One of the most long-awaited days of the year is DaySaint Valentine's. And how not to wait for such a special day when, without false modesty, you can confess your feelings to the opposite sex or even explain yourself in love, or just once again say how dear your beloved person is to you. Still, it's a good tradition to admit to love and give symbolic gifts-recognition "valentines." And if you are not only clever and beautiful, but also a needlewoman, you simply have to make such valentines with your own hands. Do you know how to knit? And maybe you sew, draw, embroider, sculpt? In a word, Valentine's Day is a wonderful occasion to apply your skillful hands to making gifts-hearts. But how to make a valentine with your own hands, and in what form to perform this souvenir, we'll talk. 
Valentine-Topiary
Probably, there are no such needlewomen who do notwould have tried (or were not going to) produce a very popular interior decoration now - the tree of happiness. It is also called "topiary". Of what only do not make such trees: from paper, cotton wool, salted dough, cold porcelain, fabric, beads, natural materials (all and not count). But it turns out in the form of a tree of happiness, you can make a traditional valentine, it is only necessary to give the crown the shape of a three-dimensional heart. It is possible to cut out such a heart from a foam plastic and decorate it in the technique of facing or roses from corrugated paper, or by quilling flowers. You can sew a crown of valentine-topiary, for example, in the technique of the Tilda doll. And to receive as a result a sort of valentine-tildika. And you can use for this traditional red silk, drape, satin, wool, stuffing the workpiece with a sintepon and decorating with lace, bows, beads or a congratulatory inscription. And you can do the same in another way. So, how to make a valentine as a tree of happiness? For the original tree in the form of a valentine we will need:
- Salty dough and wooden skewers;
- Gypsum, ribbons, beads, braid;
- Acrylic and contour paints;
- Wire, lace, sequins, plastic disposable cups.
We make a crown from a salted dough, dry it and paint it.it's red (one side). Here already at your discretion: you can use ordinary gouache, you can use acrylic paints. Top with a transparent lacquer and sprinkle with sequins (until the varnish is still quite dry). And in the meantime, while the varnish dries, we take lace or lace braid and with the help of a needle and a thread we collect it in the form of a ruche or simply in a casing (wrinkle). Then we put our heart in this lace embroidery, pasting the lace on the "heart" contour. To the reverse (unpainted) side we glue the skew-barrel and paint with white paint the reverse side of the future valentine. We let it dry, we dilute the gypsum, fill it in a glass (about a third), insert the heart there on the skewer and wait for the gypsum to harden. Then we release our design from the glass and decorate the plaster base of the topiary. To do this, it can be pasted with a colored napkin, wrapped with a beautiful cloth flap, wrapped in braid or ribbons. In conclusion, it remains only to apply the contour paints on the red side of the heart of the inscription and add ornaments of beads or ribbons. That's all - the creative valentine is ready with your own hands. 
Wreath
Another very interesting valentinesis made according to the principle of a Christmas wreath. In this case, you can choose one of two options: a round base, decorated with hearts or a heart-shaped base, decorated with anything. How to make such a valentine? Let's figure it out. A valentine wreath with a round base For this product, use, for example, a hoop or a self-made wire hoop, or a ring of flexible branches (willow). In general, this ring is the most profitable option. In addition, the wreath-valentine will turn out to be voluminous if you use a whole bunch of twigs, turning it into a ringlet. And the ring itself is decorated with traditional hearts: stitched, tied, stapled, cut out or twisted from paper. Do not forget to add a ribbon for which such non-standard valentines can be hung, and additional decorations (bows, beads, rhinestones, ribbons) to your liking. Variant with a valentine base in the form of a heart Here the main thing is to make a neat and durable wire frame-heart. You can sew a three-dimensional frame in the form of a heart, fill it with a sintepon or cotton wool, and insert a wire inside for stiffness of the construction. Well, then, at your discretion, decorate this heart, as you like. Paper or porcelain flowers, berries, bows, dried flowers, buttons, in general, anything, if only it was beautiful. Fragrant valentines - what is not creative? If the idea and principle of making fragrant sachets used for this holiday, it turns out not only creative, but also useful thing. And, useful in the literal sense of the word - if you make such sash fragrant aphrodisiacs. Here are two versions of the fragrant valentine as a gift. Sachet-heart To sew a valentine-sachet we need a natural fabric, sewing accessories and something for decoration. We sew a heart-shaped pillow: we cut out two details in the shape of the heart, add them to the faces, we compose them along the contour and turn them out. While the pillow is still empty, we decorate it with embroidery, applique or any other way. Then through the hole for eversion we fall asleep in the pillow fragrant mixture and sew the hole with a secret seam. Rectangular valentine sachet For such a fragrant valentine, we cut out two square pieces of linen cloth. From the pieces of colorful felt (white, red, pink) we carve several hearts.
