Stretch marks or, as they are also called, striae -the problem is very common. They can occur at almost any age. Just 15-20 years ago, it was almost impossible to get rid of stretch marks. Once they appeared on the skin, they remained there forever. And women had to put up with this problem. However, modern science does not stand still. And, of course, cosmetology could not ignore this problem. After all, the main goal of cosmetologists is to help people stay beautiful. Today, stretch mark treatment has become a reality. How to treat stretch marks? Today, there are several methods that allow you to, if not completely get rid of striae, then at least make them less noticeable on the skin. However, whichever one you choose, you will have to be patient - almost all of them are carried out in courses, and many of them are quite painful. So, it is unlikely that you will be able to solve this problem in one visit to a cosmetologist - this "war" will be long and difficult. Before deciding on one method or another, be sure to consult with your doctor. All these methods have a whole "bouquet" of contraindications. And, of course, it is better to learn about them in advance.
Ozone therapy
This method is used more and more often in the fightwith stretch marks. However, it is only suitable if they have appeared on your skin quite recently. The essence of the procedure is simple - a special mixture of ozone and oxygen is injected under the skin. As a result, blood circulation and metabolism in the tissues improve. By the way, this method is also used to treat cellulite and even varicose veins. Usually, the course consists of 7-12 procedures. Contraindications to ozone therapy are: acute myocardial infarction, tendency to convulsions, allergic reactions to ozone, hyperthyroidism and some blood diseases.
Cosmetic peeling
Peeling is perhaps the most common methodstretch marks treatment. The essence of the method is very simple - during this procedure, the upper skin cells are exfoliated. After such an operation, the body tries to recover as quickly as possible and begins to more actively produce substances that are very useful for beauty - elastin and collagen. Due to this, the skin surface is smoothed out, and stretch marks become less noticeable. The deeper the peeling, the faster the tissue renewal will begin. A less deep peeling is called superficial. It is suitable for fresh, recently appeared on the skin and not very large stretch marks. With this method, the upper layer of the epidermis is removed mechanically. The procedure is carried out on special equipment. The device delivers a powerful stream of air mixed with sand. Due to this, the skin is polished. Deeper - middle - include laser and chemical peeling. The main disadvantage of chemical peeling is that all manipulations are carried out under general anesthesia. Which, of course, is not at all good for the body. Special preparations are applied to the skin - usually trichloroacetic, phenolic or alpha-hydroxy acid - which penetrate the skin and fight stretch marks. The procedure is not recommended for those who have various cardiovascular diseases. Laser peeling is considered one of the most modern methods of fighting stretch marks. It helps to get rid of even deep and old stretch marks. The procedure can be performed both with local anesthesia and under general anesthesia - it all depends on the area of the surface being treated. Preparation for it will take about two months - you will need to take care of your skin daily with specially selected creams and ointments. The recovery period will also require time and patience. You will be able to fully evaluate the effect no earlier than in three months.
Microdermabrasion
This is a relatively new method with full validity.is considered an excellent alternative to peeling. Recently, cosmetologists have been using it more and more often. It is considered almost a panacea for all skin defects - from fine wrinkles and scars to freckles. In essence, microdermabrasion is skin polishing. The same peeling, only dosed and much less traumatic. The procedure is virtually painless - you will feel only a slight tingling. This means that no anesthesia is required. Tiny crystals of aluminum oxide are fed to the surface of the skin through special tubes. They are absolutely harmless, do not cause irritation and, due to their structure, are simply not capable of leaving deep wounds on the skin. Due to the high feed rate, the crystals penetrate the epidermis and are immediately removed using a vacuum, but along with the “stuck” particles of dead skin. In those points where the top layer of the epidermis was removed, active growth of new cells will begin. And after just a few sessions your skin will be completely renewed.
Abdominoplasty
This is by far the most effective anda radical method of treating stretch marks on the abdomen. As a rule, it is used when all other methods have proven ineffective. With its help, you can not only say goodbye to stretch marks forever, but also remove the sagging belly after childbirth or as a result of sudden weight loss. In fact, abdominoplasty is a surgical operation that is performed under general anesthesia. It usually lasts from 40 minutes to an hour and a half. Usually, an incision is made on the abdominal wall and excess skin, along with all the stretch marks, is removed, and the separated muscles are pulled together to a normal position. Then cosmetic stitches are pricked and drains are installed. Until recently, as a result of this rather complex abdominal surgery, a scar was always left on the abdomen. It could be larger or smaller - it all depended on the amount of "excess" skin and the method of its excision - but it was always present. Today, it seems, cosmetologists have managed to solve this problem. At least, the clinics assure that now they make an intradermal suture that leaves no traces. After the operation, you will have to wear compression underwear for a long time. In addition to this, you will need to undergo a special, individually selected rehabilitation course. Like any operation, abdominoplasty can cause various complications. As you can see, thanks to modern cosmetology, stretch mark treatment has become quite possible. Of course, all these methods have their pros and cons. And before deciding on any serious manipulations, you need to carefully weigh and think everything through. After all, the main thing is not to harm your health. But if you feel that these unpleasant stripes - striae - are seriously ruining your life, then it is quite possible to defeat them. The choice is yours. We recommend reading:
