Chop the black pepper and sprinkle it on the meat. Leave the pork to marinate for 1 hour. Grate the carrots on a fine grater. Chop the onion. Wash the prunes and pour hot water over them. In a frying pan with vegetable oil, fry the steaks for 2 minutes on each side. In the same frying pan where the steaks were fried, add butter, onion and carrot. Put a few sprigs of basil on the bottom of a thick-walled saucepan, fry the carrots and onions on top, and then the fried steaks. Mix the wine, tomato paste, water, sugar and salt in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Season the steaks with the resulting sauce. Put the saucepan on the fire and leave for 20 minutes.
