Nails are the calling card of a modern woman.Won't you be put off by dirty, unkempt nails, even if their owner is a written beauty? Manicure is not only a way to beautifully decorate your fingers, it is a mandatory hygienic procedure for women and men. However, when you first get to a beauty salon, you will be confused by the variety of types of manicure offered. In order to choose one of them, you need to study the varieties of this action in detail.
Classics of the genre
Classic trimmed (aka wet) manicure– a standard service that was included in the price list of Soviet hairdressers, when other types of this cosmetic procedure were not even familiar to our young ladies. The nail plates are cleaned from the remains of varnish, if they were previously covered with such. Using a sand, glass or metal file, they are given the desired shape (ideally - oval). Ask the master not to use a metal tool, because with such files, nails begin to exfoliate and crumble. For thin nails, a fine-grained fraction of the coating is preferable. Hands are thoroughly washed with soap, wiped and dipped in a cosmetic bath with hot water. At your request, essential oils or a bubbling ball can be added to it to soften the skin. The rougher the skin of the hands, the hotter the liquid should be. After 10 minutes, stop steaming and proceed to further processing of the nails. Wet plates should never be filed - this contributes to their delamination. A softening cream or balm is applied to the cuticle (the skin in the nail hole), after which it is removed with scissors or nippers. This process is quite painful and traumatic - if the specialist is negligent in sterilizing the tools, he can easily introduce an infection during the cuticle trimming. A drying spray is applied to the nail that has absorbed water during the "soaking" in the bath. Why is this done? Water evaporates from the nail plate within 24 hours after the manicure, simultaneously forming bubbles on the varnish coating and contributing to the appearance of chips. Then the specialist polishes the nails and applies a base coat for the varnish. The use of colored varnish, rhinestones and drawings is at the client's request. This method goes well with a hot manicure. The water in the bath is replaced by an oil composition with the addition of vitamins and essential oils. This ceremony is akin to aromatherapy: you enjoy the scents of rose, ylang-ylang and patchouli, while the master gently massages the skin and rubs a strengthening lotion into the nails.
Vip service: manicure de lux
A more complicated version of a classic manicureinvolves a whole range of procedures aimed at improving the appearance of hands and nail plates. Massage with essential oils, wraps, paraffin therapy, application of professional care products - such as therapeutic masks and anti-age serums. In fact, you can easily repeat most of them at home if you wish. Of interest is the nail "sealing" session, you should not refuse it under any circumstances. This is a real rehabilitation of neglected, exfoliating and deformed plates. They are lubricated with medicinal compounds containing vitamins, natural mother-of-pearl powders, quartz, malachite. A fixer is applied on top to prevent the beneficial substances from being washed away. Repeat this operation monthly and you will not have any problems with your nails.
Unedged types of manicure: European and hardware
"Bloodless" methods of cuticle removal, outsideDepending on the technique of performing a manicure, they are based on one principle: excess skin is softened, then pushed back without cutting. With the hardware option, it is “removed” with a grinding attachment on a special machine, while the European option does not involve its removal at all. Hardware manicure does not require preliminary steaming, it is performed on dry nails. The procedure takes very little time due to the fact that filing, grinding and polishing are not performed by the master himself, but with the help of a device whose attachments rotate at a speed of 10-20 thousand revolutions. Due to the fact that the machine for “automatic” care is relatively inexpensive, many try to use it at home. However, if you have not completed the relevant courses, you should not experiment on yourself. Diamond and sapphire tips at such a speed of revolutions can jump off the surface of the plate or the callus being treated and cause serious injury. Do not even think of combining such types of manicure as hardware and edged, under no circumstances - the use of attachments on a wet surface is not allowed. European manicure cannot serve as an alternative to edged manicure if you are a rare guest in a beauty salon. It does not provide for the removal of calluses and hangnails, nor the release of the nail base from the overgrown cuticle. The need to alternate it with the classic one will disappear only in the case of regular and thorough care of the skin of the hands and nails. The skin in the base is softened with a gel with fruit acids, after which it is moved with a wooden stick. Dirt under the nails is removed with a soft brush and soapy water. The effect of light peeling is achieved by using a scrub with polymer particles. After polishing, the nail is covered with a base or a medicinal varnish.
Relax for the full program: spa manicure
When performing it, the master combines Europeanand trim manicure, leaving or trimming the cuticle at the client's discretion. After processing the nail base, chemical peeling follows - a composition with lactic and AHA acids is applied to the skin of the hands to remove dead cells. The spa manicure ends with an acupuncture massage and stone therapy.
Japanese manicure
The Japanese are known throughout the world for theirpickiness and scrupulousness. They also approach nail care with all responsibility and thoroughness. You know that the average Japanese woman uses more than 15 cosmetics for facial care? And Japanese manicure involves the use of more than 25 preparations and compositions! First, the master diagnoses the condition of each nail, shining it with special lamps and applying reagents. Then he makes a personal list of medical cosmetics, and in some cases, advises to go on a special diet (if the condition of the nails is critical). Nails and hands are massaged with keratin lotion, degreased with paper napkins and a special mineral base is applied. It fills microcracks and evens out the surface of the nail. The nail is covered with pearl powder and colored varnish is applied.
A-la natural
French manicure or "French" - a tributefashion for everything natural. Nails are filed, cleaned with a special brush, the regrown part is additionally whitened with a manicure pencil. The nail plate is covered with nude varnish (transparent pink, light beige or completely colorless). Types of manicure derived from the "French": "Hollywood" (the white part is decorated with rhinestones and covered with shiny varnish), fun (not only vitamins are "sealed" into the nail coating, but also artificial stones, colored feathers, flowers), creative (the tip of the nail is covered with colored, not white matte varnish). Any of the listed types of manicure does not exclude the need for home care of the skin of the hands and nails. In between visits to the salons, do strengthening baths and use nourishing cream daily.
