As many as three thousand years ago, the wise Chinesedrew attention to the fact that handwriting and a person's character are closely related. Thus, the ancient Chinese civilization gave birth to the modern science of handwriting analysis - graphology. To be more precise, it is the study of a person and the features of his character based on his manner of writing. This science, of course, is complex, it is not for nothing that today, based on a handwriting sample, you can even prove the involvement of a suspect in a crime. But you and I are not going to catch criminals, so why do we need to know something about the features of different types of scribbles and squiggles? Well, you and I are curious young ladies, maybe it will come in handy! For example, we are dating a guy. He is so positive, it becomes downright scary - has an angel descended from heaven and is asking us to marry him? And then we learn that the sticks-circles-squiggles from which we make letters and words can tell about our character, thinking and even emotional well-being (after all, our emotions can also affect the way we write)! And we say to our beloved: "Why don't you write me a tinny note, my dear friend, three or four pages long!" And we begin to study carefully what and how he writes. And we learn about him everything that he might be carefully hiding from us. Is he really that nice and friendly, or is he still prone, for example, to outbursts of anger and irritability. It's better to know in advance! As the saying goes, "forewarned is forearmed."
Good handwriting is a guarantee of getting a job
And we can use such knowledge in a different way.for their own benefit. After all, who knows – maybe in the near future handwriting analysis will replace a reference, for example, when applying for a job? And what, in some countries this is already practiced! For example, in France. There they believe that no detailed description of personal qualities, even if it is confirmed by a bunch of coats of arms and seals, will tell the whole truth about a person as well as just a few lines of his own, handwritten squiggles will tell. Therefore, any self-respecting French company collects handwriting samples from everyone who is going to join its ranks. And there, having examined the writing from different angles, they come to the conclusion: this candidate suits us, and this one – categorically refuse! His mind will not pull to produce our exclusive delights. But not only take this one, but also send him for training, he will turn out to be a good leader in the future! Who knows, maybe we will soon come to this too? So, let's figure out what's what and learn to show ourselves from the best side - from "A" to "Z"! And first, let's find out how to correctly analyze handwriting.
What is handwriting analysis?
Graphology is, as we have already said,a science that allows you to determine a person's personality traits by studying the features of their handwriting - the slope and shape of the letters, the pressure of the pen, the arrangement of the lines and other parameters. It seems incredible, but an experienced graphologist can give out an incredible amount of information about a person, determining their character by handwriting. Just like a fortune teller who takes information from the lines on the hand! Only the fortune teller mostly lies, and the graphologist will give reliable information; moreover, he will not only create a complete profile of the personality of the person being studied, but also tell about the state of his health, level of morality, hidden talents, past experience, mental problems - and these are just some of the indicators available to a handwriting expert. How does it even work? It's very simple! Our brain directs the hand, and what ultimately appears on paper is the result of the work of a two-way chain between our brain and the motor reflex of the hand muscles. We thought calmly - the muscle twitched this way; we thought a little irritably - the muscle twitched that way. Thus, our handwriting becomes a kind of detector, which allows an observant eye to read all our carefully hidden secrets. A handwriting specialist has more than three hundred different methods of analysis at his disposal, but we will consider only some of them. After all, we do not need so much - just to "look" at others, and to know how to "show" ourselves.
With what to begin?
When analyzing a letter, it is worth taking a look at the entiresample. As a rule, the general appearance of what is written also leaves some impression on a person: whether he is neat or sloppy, responsible or does not consider it necessary to even write out the letters completely. Of course, to form a general impression, some experience is still needed, but we can determine the emotional energy of the "writer" right now. And this is one of the most important personality factors, because it influences all other character traits. The nature of the emotional energy is determined by the pressure with which a person writes letters. The appearance of each letter (written thinly or boldly) will speak for itself, but the force of pressure is especially clearly visible if you turn the sheet over and look at it from the back. This is especially clear if the sheet was lying on a soft surface when it was written on. Well, we took the sheet, turned it over, looked at it, studied both sides - and what can we learn? And from what we saw, we can understand this: a person who writes with strong pressure, as a rule, is successful in everything. He has a lot of vitality and his emotional experiences last quite a long time. That is, the desire to achieve his goal does not disappear on the second day. Those who write with medium pressure are quite successful and, as a rule, they have enough energy to do something on the second day and the day after. But those people who write, barely pressing the pen, are usually very indecisive and do not always achieve what they have planned.
Writing letters
Letters are what we write absolutelyautomatically. And that is why they are the first to give us away. We will not study all the subtleties of the correspondence between the spelling of letters and certain types of character - a few examples will suffice:
- People who have a large handwriting tend to payattention even to particulars. And the most important feature of their character can be called the ability to keep a word - if they promise, they will definitely fulfill it! In general, there is always something interesting around them;
- Writing fat letters usually do not stand up evenhint at criticism: they are very nervous and touchy. Too emotional, they can not calm down for a long time. And they like to answer questions with counter questions;
- Thinly written letters with soft, roundedtransitions between them speak about the sensitivity of a person, about his emotional depth. Such a person will always be able to understand the other and sympathize with him. These people do not tolerate boredom and monotony.
Form and size of letters
People who have a habit of writing roundletters, by nature are usually very calm. If the tail of the last letter is turned up, then this is a sign of high energy. A lover of upturned tails looks soberly at the world around him and has a practical approach to life. But the owners of scribbles and indistinct tails are usually people of artistic inclinations, having an unconventional approach to any problem. Owners of large handwriting are usually very friendly. They are always self-confident and firmly know where they are going. Those whose letters are more like small beads have iron logic and can be ruthless to those who have the opposite opinion. And if the letter looks elegant, downright calligraphic, then this may mean that the person who wrote such letters sometimes has difficulty communicating with people. He often has to break the rules accepted in society.
Distribution of letters by zones
Try to mentally divide the written wordhorizontally into three zones. Remember the copybooks for first-graders? Two narrow strips in which small letters had to be written. Above the upper strip, the upper parts of letters such as "b", "v" are written (do not forget that we are talking about capital small letters!). This is the upper zone. Between the strips (in the middle zone) we write the letter itself. Under the lower strip (in the lower zone) the "tails" of the letters are written - "z", "d", "u", "r". So: if a person has a dominant upper zone (the upper parts of the letters are exaggeratedly large, and the letters themselves go beyond the imaginary upper line), this means that the person is ambitious and always tries to get ahead of time. It can be assumed that such a person often dreams of the future. The one who often increases the lower parts of the letters (in the lower zone) most of all wants to achieve material well-being. Such a person dreams of the essentials (money, car, house ...). Well, the one who slightly enlarges some parts of the letters located in the middle zone (imagine, for example, a thick "belly" of the soft sign), places the main emphasis on the present. He does not look back, does not indulge in dreams about the future, because he prefers to live in the present. But if someone maintains the correct balance of all three zones and writes letters correctly, as in copybooks, then this person maintains the correct balance in his life - between the past, present and future. What does the slope of the letters indicate? Letters can be written slanted or vertically, and this also completely depends on the character of the writer. The slope indicates the emotional reactions to external stimuli typical for this person. Thus, vertical writing (IIII) requires conscious control from the author of the letter, otherwise the letters will begin to lean to the left or right. Therefore, vertical handwriting speaks of the high discipline of the one who writes this way. This person tries to keep his emotions in check - the mind dominates over the heart. And also - vertical handwriting indicates the independence of a person. The tilt to the right (////) indicates that the owner of such handwriting has rich emotional expressiveness. Such a person is sociable, caring, knows how to maintain warm relationships; and he can love devotedly and recklessly. The heart rules his mind. The tilt to the left (\) shows that the person is not prone to excessive emotionality. In any case, he tries not to show his emotions to anyone, and many consider him indifferent to everything in the world. You should know that this is not always the case! The owner of such handwriting is also meticulous, he needs to check every detail in any matter. But making him give someone a promise is not so easy. He does not promise to do something; he does, and then talks about it.
Distance between lines and their location
How far apart are we?the way we arrange the lines also carries information about our inner world. So, if a person leaves a fairly wide space between two rows of words, this speaks of his love for neatness, good organization and the ability to see the big picture and broad prospects. But if this space is not the same (one line is closer, the other is further from the previous one), this speaks of disorganization and even some carelessness of the person. If the line moves up, then the person who wrote it is an optimistic and energetic person. A downward slope of the line is a sign of pessimism and lack of energy. It is worth taking into account that this test only works when the subject writes on unlined paper.
Margin from the edge of the sheet
There are many options here:
- The free space on the left side of the written shows that the person does not forget about his roots and is attached to the family;
- Leaving the free space to the right of the text reflects on the future of the people around him. If the indent right is too large, then this indicates a fear of something unknown;
- A large margin from the top edge of the sheet - the person is ambitious and builds big plans;
- Leaves a lot of free space at the bottom of the sheet an energetic man who also often relies on his intuition;
- If there is free space left andto the right of the text, and at the same time there is less space to the left than to the right, then the writer who wrote this way is cautious, and at the moment he is full of the desire to avoid something that he is compelled to do not of his own free will;
- And when in the same style of the arrangement of lines there are fewer places on the right, this indicates impatience and desire to finish the work as soon as possible. Better even before it starts!
We collect all the data together
Now let's mix some of the characteristics we wrote about above and see what we get:
- Autograph with strong pressure and verticallylocated in letters. Strong pressure = strong emotions, vertical letters = trying to keep all the emotions in oneself. Such a person, as a rule, acts guided by reason and not emotions. Even if the stones are poured from the sky, he will remain cool and will not react as emotionally as a person tilting the letters to the right. But he can not keep his composure forever. One day a moment comes when the long-held emotions break out, and it breaks, as it seems to others, quite unexpectedly and unpredictably.
- A person who writes with light pressure (not too muchemotionally) and with the left slope of letters (tries to avoid emotionality). This person is cold, indifferent to everything and everything. He is egocentric, for him there are only his own problems.
There are many options for combinations of allwriting characteristics to create a complete profile of personal qualities. Using our two examples, you will be able to create your own profile, which can be useful in both personal and professional relationships. In any case, having learned all these subtleties, you can understand that it is perhaps worth thinking about. If our character makes us write in a certain way, then perhaps we can change our character traits by changing our handwriting? Or will this not help, and should we not switch cause and effect? Well, go ahead and try it! Definitely, if you can force yourself to regularly do exercises to improve your handwriting, then discipline, patience and perseverance will definitely develop in you! And also - you will begin to write beautifully, which is also important. And most importantly, now you can easily determine what kind of character your boyfriend really has and whether he is pulling the wool over your eyes. After all, you now know how to determine a person's character by handwriting; and if before we exposed someone, now we will expose them "on clean paper"! We recommend reading:
