food additives and their effect on the bodyHow often is it that what pleases the eye so much with beautypackaging, and gives pleasure with an amazing taste, contains in its structure an invisible enemy - a whole list of food additives, especially harmful to human health! In our age of rapidly developing technologies, it is almost impossible to find packaged products that would not contain harmful food additives: synthetic stabilizers, emulsifiers or colorants used to improve the taste of the product, increase its shelf life and, of course, to give it a more attractive appearance. A pleasant soft pink shade of sausages, marmalade of all the colors of the rainbow and milk that stays fresh for up to one and a half to two weeks - all these "miracles" are created with the help of various food additives, which, by the way, can be found in almost all products. And it's good if we are talking about at least relatively harmless elements for our health, of which, unfortunately, there are very few. And yet, many of us doubt whether it is harmful to use food additives or everything is not as scary as it may seem? After all, the vast majority of manufacturers assure the buyer that they supply only environmentally friendly and healthy products. They are echoed by commercials literally screaming about the absolute safety of products. To make matters worse, we ourselves almost never pay attention to the composition of the purchase or simply do not understand what this or that abbreviation or chemical term means. Meanwhile, among food additives, there are many that are truly extremely dangerous. Some of them, when they enter the body, release toxins under certain conditions, others show their harmful "character" by interacting with other products. So which additives are considered "persona" non grata, and which can be consumed without harm to health?

Pay attention to the marking

Almost all food additives areare artificial chemical substances, which is why even the safest of them can provoke a negative reaction in hypersensitive people. And what can we say about harmful food additives e, which are dangerous for any, even the strongest and healthiest, organism! When choosing food products or a biologically active supplement to them (BAA), do not ignore their packaging, especially the part where the composition is indicated: the letter E (from Europe) accepted throughout the world and three numbers next to it (food additives are designated with this marking). If the codes begin with one, then we are talking about dyes, with two - about preservatives, with three - about antioxidants. The first four and five warn about the presence of stabilizers and emulsifiers, respectively, the number six indicates the presence of flavor and aroma enhancers, and the codes starting with the number nine indicate anti-flaming (anti-foaming) substances. At the same time, food additives - dyes, are designated by numbers from E 100 to E 182. Among them you can "find" a large number of hazardous substances, and the goods under numbers E 121 and E 123 are strictly prohibited. Food additives starting with number E 200 are preservatives, the purpose of which is to optimize the shelf life of products. And in achieving this goal, they do not stand on ceremony with our body, having a negative impact on the biochemical reactions occurring in it and, in addition, destroying live bacteria. A separate conversation, without a doubt, deserves food additive labeled E220, which is sulfur dioxide (a colorless gas with an irritating odor). It is used in the preservation of various products, and is approved for use in almost all countries. At the same time, the danger of E220 is beyond doubt: the additive provokes serious poisoning with sulfur dioxide, ending with a runny nose, cough, hoarseness and the so-called sore throat. And inhalation of more saturated sulfur dioxide can threaten a person with suffocation, speech disorder, difficulty swallowing, vomiting and acute pulmonary edema. In people suffering from asthma and renal failure, close "acquaintance" with E220 can result in damage to the digestive organs and fatal allergic reactions, as well as the destruction of vitamins B 1 and B 12. Therefore, you should very carefully study the relevant packages and labels, remembering that the maximum permissible amount of sulfur dioxide (E220) for different food products and goods is not a constant value. Thus, in products directly consumed as food, it should not be more than 100 mg per kilogram, while for wines, the highest concentration is 200-250 ml per liter, depending on the country of origin and wine varieties.the effect of food additives on the human body

If a friend was suddenly

Food additives that perform inIn food products, the role of antioxidants, antioxidants and acidity regulators is marked with codes from E 300, and are designed to slow down oxidation processes. In their effect on the human body, they are very similar to preservatives. By indexing products with numbers from E 400 to E 430, manufacturers warn the buyer about the presence of thickeners and stabilizers, which are designed to maintain the necessary consistency of the product. Among them are many plant or animal food additives e, but, unfortunately, most E 400 - E 430 are still chemical substances, and therefore harmful food additives. Emulsifiers (minerals) are designated by indexes E 430 - E 500, baking powder - E 500 - E 520, and the presence of flavor enhancers and flavorings corresponding to natural ones is indicated by E 620 and E 642. And yet, one should not think that all food additives without exception are classified as harmful and dangerous, because they came to us from those times when the chemical industry was unheard of. Even our ancestors used various food additives to increase the shelf life of individual products. The problem is that today we are practically deprived of the opportunity to eat truly environmentally friendly products without harmful food additives. And often, it is precisely those that are especially popular with us that threaten our health.

The "best" ten

How do you know if eating food is harmful?additives found in, for example, French fries? In this case, it would not be superfluous to list the top ten products with harmful food additive e. Chewing gum and various sweets, which, however, can hardly be classified as food products, because they consist mainly of food additives e. Their frequent and irregular use, as a rule, ends in stomach upset, dehydration, kidney and liver diseases, allergic reactions, skin and other diseases. Such products as boiled sausage, hot dogs, frankfurters and minced meat, as well as smoked meat, fish and sausage can also “please” you with a high level of harmful food additives e (preservatives, stabilizers, thickeners, etc.). They can be classified without exaggeration as the most harmful products for the body, fraught with oncological diseases, stomach diseases, allergies and visual impairment. Next on the list are our beloved yogurts, which are here because of the same stabilizers, antioxidants, thickeners and flavorings that provoke the development of cancer, allergies and pancreatic diseases. And also chips and French fries, which have earned the "honorary title" of harmful products, thanks to stabilizers and flavorings (flavor enhancers). The deplorable result of their use can be cancer, headaches, excessive redness of the face, sweating and other diseases. No less popular with us is ice cream, many types of which are also "friends" with harmful additives, which, in the end, cannot but lead to cancer, kidney and liver diseases, stomach disorders, slow metabolism in the body and similar dangerous diseases. Harmful "snacks" containing e are also considered to be crackers, which can cause stomach disorders, blood pressure disorders and allergies. The most dangerous drinks include soft drinks (Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Sprite and others) and energy drinks, the composition of which also did not do without food additives e: synthetic sugar substitutes, food preservatives, flavorings and emulsifiers. Despite the fact that they are very difficult to classify as food products, the damage they cause (cirrhosis of the liver, allergies, degenerative diseases) is sufficient reason to include these liquid pests in our list. As well as various sauces, which, although not independent food products, successfully destroy the beneficial qualities of any food. And the list of products containing harmful additives e is completed by chocolate. You need to make a lot of effort to find a representative of this sweet that does not threaten the body with allergic reactions and many other diseases. Probably, there is no need to remind once again that our health is in our own hands. Use only the healthiest products in your diet, become a supporter of healthy eating, forget about chips, Coca-Cola and other, maybe tasty, but very dangerous products. And you will surprise your friends and family with your good health for many years! We recommend reading:
