Cramped corridors, where sometimes even no furniture fits, are very difficult to improve in any way. So we can only regularly update the interior of the hallway, changing the wallpaper. Previously, in the times of total shortages, we did not have a problem of choice: we pasted whatever we got. However, today the choice is so wide that it is very difficult to settle on something specific. Note that this question arises not only from the abundance of goods, but also from our desire to adhere to the rules of interior design. In addition, in many apartments and houses the layout is such that the path from one room to another also runs through the hallway. The size of the hallway in most apartments also leaves much to be desired, as does the layout of this room. There are many doors in the hallway: the entrance, to the toilet and bathroom, to the kitchen, to the rooms, and very little wall space remains free for gluing wallpaper. And the walls themselves are far from always perfectly straight, but have protruding corners or niches. Fluffy wallpaper

Here we are talking about the base on which it is appliedpaper, vinyl or fabric covering. They are more expensive, but so flexible that they can hide unevenness on the walls. The non-woven base is quite durable and moisture-resistant. In addition, the process of gluing such wallpaper to the wall is significantly simplified, since you only have to smear the wall with glue, and then stick dry wallpaper on it. Wallpaper for painting is produced on a non-woven base, which has a larger width, which also simplifies the gluing process. In addition, you can often update the interior of a hallway covered with such wallpaper by simply repainting the walls.

Fabric wallpaper

Available on paper and non-woven bases.People call them silk-screen printing. Not a very suitable wallpaper option for a hallway, and also expensive. Although fabric wallpaper lasts a long time, is easy to clean, and is not afraid of moisture. They are very resistant to abrasion, light-resistant, and look elegant and rich. But they are more suitable for a bedroom or living room.

Vinyl wallpapers

They can also be on paper or non-wovenbasis. They are multilayered, and therefore quite durable. The vinyl surface can be considered resistant to dirt and abrasions. Natural wallpaper can hide any unevenness of the walls, it is environmentally friendly, as it is made of natural materials: bamboo, wood, cork and even stone.

Colors

You can use color to adjust the sizepremises. This is no longer news to anyone. However, not everyone succeeds in choosing the right color or pattern of wallpaper for the hallway. Here you need to take into account the advice of professional designers.

First, the wallpaper should be combined in color with the floor covering and furniture. This does not mean that everything should be sustained in one tone: contrast colors can also be combined.

Panoramic photos in cold colors will help to expand the walls, the opposite effect can be easily achieved if you use warm-toned photo wallpaper. Just do not forget that photo wallpaper is a paper material: thin and fragile. If you really want to use natural wallpaper to decorate your hallway, but you cannot afford it, then take textured wallpaper with imitation stone, decorative plaster, fabric or brick for these purposes.
