- 1 kg of refined pumpkin,
- 1 kg of sugar,
- 1.5 cups of water.
Preparation:For pumpkin jam, it is better to prepare an enamel bowl in which you must first boil the syrup. To do this, pour in 1 kilogram of sugar and 1.5 cups of water. Cook until the syrup begins to flow from the spoon in a thin thread. Cut the peeled pumpkin pulp into 1x1 cm cubes and pour hot syrup. Cook until done over low heat. At the end, you can add a pinch of vanilla and a few crystals of citric acid. Pour into prepared jars. The finished jam is a beautiful dark amber color.
Pumpkin jam with lemon
Pumpkin jam with lemon is a fragrant dessert with a subtle sweet and sour taste. Ingredients:
- 1 kg of refined pumpkin,
- 1 kg of granulated sugar,
- 2 lemons of medium size.
Preparation:Cut the pumpkin into small cubes 1x1 cm. Cover with granulated sugar and leave for several hours until the pumpkin gives enough juice. After that, put the container with the pumpkin on low heat and bring to a boil, then cook for 30 minutes. Wash the lemons, remove the zest with a grater. Remove the white pulp under the zest. Grind the lemons prepared in this way in a blender and add to the finished jam, stir. Cool and put into jars. Even the most fastidious gourmet will not refuse such pumpkin jam with lemon.
Pumpkin jam "Vitamin"
This pumpkin jam with lemon and orange is prepared without heat treatment, so to speak, in a cold way, preserving all the vitamins. Ingredients:
- 1 kg of refined pumpkin,
- 2 oranges
- 2 lemons,
- 1700 grams of granulated sugar.
Preparation:Peel and core the lemons and oranges. Mince together with the peeled pumpkin. Add granulated sugar and mix thoroughly. Let sit at room temperature until the sugar is completely dissolved. Mix again, put into jars and store in a cool place, preferably in the refrigerator.
Pumpkin jam with dried apricots "Apricot"!
Oddly enough, this jam is also made from pumpkin. The dried apricots and lemon added to it create a very pleasant taste effect. Ingredients:
- 1 kg of refined pumpkin,
- 300 g dried apricots,
- 300 g of sugar,
- 1 lemon,
- 2 glasses of hot water,
- 2 teaspoons pectin,
- 2 stars of anise.
Preparation:Dice the dried apricots and soak them in hot water for 30 minutes. Cut the peeled pumpkin into 1x1 cm cubes. Divide the lemon into 4 parts, then cut each part into thin crosswise slices with the peel. Pour the water in which the dried apricots were soaked into a separate container, add sugar and heat, stirring, until a clear syrup forms. Pour in the prepared pumpkin, dried apricots, lemon and anise. Cook over low heat for about 50 minutes until the pumpkin becomes soft. Mix pectin with 1 teaspoon of sugar, pour into the jam and cook for 2 minutes. Place in jars and put in the refrigerator for a week. After a week, the pumpkin will be soaked with the taste of dried apricots, and the jam will become apricot!
Pumpkin Jam
This pumpkin jam recipe, after cooking, is more like a fragrant jam. Try it, it's also delicious! Ingredients:
- 1 kg of refined pumpkin,
- 1 kg of sugar,
- juice of one lemon,
- 300 g of apples (if desired).
Preparation:Cut the pumpkin into cubes, put it in an enamel pan or bowl, and simmer over low heat until it is soft. If the pumpkin is not very juicy, you can add a little water. When the pumpkin is soft, add sugar and cook for 20 minutes, add the juice of one lemon and boil until thickened, stirring constantly. Put in sterilized jars, turn over and wrap for 12 hours. When the jam is infused, the taste of pumpkin will not be felt at all. Based on the same recipe, you can make pumpkin jam with the aroma of apples. To do this, peel and seed the apples, chop finely. Cook the pumpkin and apples in separate containers until softened. Then combine, stir, if desired, rub through a sieve, and continue to cook with lemon and sugar until completely thickened.
