Warts on the body not only lookunattractive, but are also symptoms of various diseases. But, unfortunately, only a few know about this. Many people believe in alternative medicine and try to get rid of them with the help of red threads, apples and other things that do not really help.
The reason for the appearance of warts
According to statistics, one of the mostWarts are rightfully considered to be one of the most common skin diseases of a person. They are small calloused growths on the skin, which are non-inflamed and benign. As a rule, the hands, neck and face are most susceptible to this disease, which is not only unpleasant, but also unsightly. The appearance of warts on the skin is due to the fact that a person is infected with one of the papilloma viruses (HPV), of which there are about 60 types. A person who has once become infected with a papilloma forever becomes a carrier and distributor of this virus. It should be noted that not every HPV carrier knows about his disease, since often warts do not appear for a long time after infection with a papilloma. But it is worth only to catch a slight cold, experience stress or something happens that can weaken the immune system, and this hardy virus will immediately make itself known. It is also important to keep in mind that almost every person is infected with one or another HPV. The peculiarity of this virus is that it can be both active and passive. And it is very difficult to diagnose HPV in an inactive state, since it is during this period that it is not contagious and does not harm its host. However, it can manifest itself even with the slightest stress experienced by the carrier.
Ways of infection with warts
The papilloma virus enters the human body through microcracks in the skin. There are many ways to "earn" this disease, so it is necessary to know why warts may appear:
- use of personal belongings of the infectedhuman warts, such as a towel, bedding, a hairbrush or even utensils. A huge risk of getting infected with papillomas is also experienced by people, often dealing with public objects. Even the ordinary door handle, the button in the elevator, the stair railings can cause;
- walking unkempt legs to the places of the bigthe accumulation of people (sauna, sauna, swimming pool, etc.) can contribute to the infection of the papilloma and the subsequent development of plantar warts, which are particularly difficult to treat. That's why it is recommended to wear only your slippers in such establishments;
- sexual contact with a person who is infectedpapilloma, also facilitates the transmission of the virus from one to the other, especially if one of the sexual partners is infected with condyloma, which can quickly progress.
- work associated with the cleaning of crowded places, which daily visits a large number of people, because the virus is able to penetrate the nervous system through the slightest damage to the skin.
A person can only catch the virus withweakened body, so we can safely conclude that lack of sleep, poor nutrition, stress and rare exercise are also causes of wart infection. That is why a person who regularly exercises, chooses appropriate physical activity, eats properly and sleeps at least seven hours a day, is not at risk of becoming infected with papilloma. This cannot be said about people who last played sports in school.

Types of warts: diagnose the problem
The fact that papilloma can appear on anybody parts, have already been found out. Now we should figure out what they might look like. Today, there are quite a large number of different types of warts:
- Common warts aresmall leather outgrowths resembling a common corn. As a rule, their size varies from 2 to 10 millimeters. Ordinary warts are most affected by the fingers of the feet and hands, neck, palms and face.
- Flat warts (juveniles) also representare not too large growths, which are of very different shapes. Most often flat warts are prone to palms and, regrettably, cheeks and forehead. Such papillomas are called youthful because they are mostly infected with young people, but flat warts can also bother more mature women.
- Condyloma (or genital warts)appear on the genitals of both women and men. Pointed warts are like small pimples that "stand" on a thin stalk. Condylomia should never be pressed or cauterized, as several new warts will appear in the place of one pointed wart. Such warts are transmitted from one sexual partner to another, especially if the genitals are damaged. Condylomies require immediate treatment!
- Plantar warts are very similar to the usual onescorn, which is facilitated by the fact that they are located just on the foot. Plantar warts may appear if a person wears too tight shoes. As a rule, distinguishes such a wart from the callus that if it is damaged, then blood will go off. Corns pass after a short period of time, and the plantar wart will bother its owner very, very long.
When to be treated
In some cases, the body itself can promote the resorption of the wart, but there are a number of signs, having noticed which, it is necessary to begin treatment immediately:
- the wart strongly itches or hurts;
- the wart begins to bleed or is injured;
- the wart has a non-uniform color or shape;
- the wart has an indeterminate contour;
- there are more and more warts;
- a wart appeared in the intimate area.
If at least one of the listed is detectedpoints, you should immediately contact a dermatologist who will select the appropriate treatment. You should not look for folk recipes, as you can seriously harm your health. And in any case, consult a professional doctor.
Ways to get rid of warts
There are not only medical ones, but also folk ones.wart removal methods, they should be considered separately. Is it worth trying them? It all depends on what you expect. Such treatment will take more than one month, plus it will be difficult to predict the consequences. The most famous and frequently used method of getting rid of warts is celandine juice. You need to do this: several times a day, cauterize the wart with the juice of a freshly picked plant. It is important that it is cut immediately before the procedure. Warts should be treated this way for several weeks, although, as “knowledgeable” people assure, the result will be noticeable almost immediately. But, in addition to everything, you can get a burn. Juices of fresh vegetables, berries or castor oil can also help warts disappear. You only need to thoroughly wipe the wart 2-3 times a day with a cut potato, berry, onion or castor oil. This method is more gentle than the first, but you also need to wait longer for the results. Dry ice will help remove so-called "fresh" warts. You need to put a piece of dry ice on the growth and hold it for a long time. You should act extremely carefully, as dry ice can burn the skin very badly. Before using any folk remedy, you should check whether there is an allergic reaction to the remedy used or not. If after self-medication you only get worse, immediately call an ambulance or go to the clinic for an examination.
Medical methods of combating warts
- removal of warts with liquid nitrogen
- wart removal with laser
- getting rid of warts with electric current
- surgical removal of warts
The hospital will select the most appropriate methodtreatment. During the necessary manipulations, warts can react to such intervention in different ways. For example, they can disappear at the very beginning of the procedures and then reappear in the same place, change in size (both to a larger and, accordingly, to a smaller one) during the entire treatment period. Sometimes they can change their color or not react at all to all the procedures performed. Sometimes it happens that the entire treatment period was in vain, and the wart itself disappeared after some time. Even having gotten rid of the wart, there is a risk (it remains 20-30%) of becoming a victim of this skin disease again, because various medical operations and procedures treat only the tip of the iceberg - they remove papillomas. But if you lead a healthy lifestyle, you can reduce the risk of recurrence of warts to a minimum.
