Artistic parquet has long been considered one ofelements of a luxurious interior. Collected in fancy patterns and ornaments from various types of wood, this floor is amazingly beautiful and resembles a rich hand-made carpet. In addition, it is environmentally friendly and durable. Just like hundreds of years ago, today it is evidence of the refined taste of the owners and a symbol of their prestige. Artistic parquet is a plot or ornamental composition made of elements of different colors and shapes from several types of wood. With its help, both geometrically strict ornaments ("basket", "squares", "square", "mosaic", etc.) and the most complex designs - plant patterns, realistic, abstract plots and even reproductions of famous paintings are created. In artistic parquet, two or more types of wood are most often used, but there are exceptions. For example, the unique pattern of exotic wood species, such as merbau, teak and rosewood, allows you to create masterpieces from one type of wood. Thanks to new technologies, it has become possible to inlay parquet with other materials - metal, stone, and also combine it with tiles and self-leveling floors. The parquet composition, be it simple or complex, is developed in accordance with the general style of the room and can either cover the entire floor surface or fragments of artistic parquet - rosettes and borders. Copying historical examples of palace decoration, modern stylizations in the spirit of high-tech, avant-garde, ethno design, etc., as well as an author's solution that reflects the fantasies of the decorator and the customer - this is far from a complete list of the aesthetic possibilities of artistic parquet, bringing it closer to a work of art.
Palette of tree species
In order to create a unique designparquet, craftsmen use a wide variety of tree species. Well-known, traditional for our area species - oak, maple, beech, ash, walnut, birch, etc., certainly differ in decorative diversity. But without inserting fragments of exotic tree species, it is not always possible to create an interesting composition. "Exotic" trees include those growing in Africa, Southeast Asia and South America, such as merbau, teak, rosewood, kempas, doussia, acajou, jatoba, wenge, iroko, etc. For "palace" parquet, manufacturers use up to seventy different types of wood, giving preference to oak, maple, ash, rosewood, merbau and teak. It should be noted that the wood of local tree species, compared to "exotic" ones, is more resistant to environmental influences, hard and has soft, calm tones. But exotic tree species are distinguished by a wealth of textures and shades. Their shades reflect almost the entire spectrum from sunny yellow (iroko) and red (merbau) to violet (amaranth) and chocolate (sucupira). Such a wide palette gives designers unlimited possibilities. Ornate artistic parquet, the rosettes of which decorate large rooms decorated in a classic style. For an ordinary interior in a classic style, a traditional solution is suitable - Edelweiss parquet from several types of mahogany or a combination of it with other types of wood in rich tones. And in an interior decorated in a country style, a covering made of light woods Tornado and Cleo will fit perfectly. Elegant modernism will be decorated with Northern Lights made of rosewood with its violet-lilac range.
Sockets, medallions, curbs
The most common decorative elementartistic parquet - rosettes or medallions. They are a multi-colored pattern enclosed in a geometric shape of an oval, circle, rhombus, square, polygon. With their help, you can create elite artistic parquet in the form of a carpet pattern. In adjacent rooms or different areas of one room, you can create a different carpet pattern - this will emphasize their logical isolation. If the area of the room allows, you can experiment with the shape, creating a large oval composition in the center, and background parquet on the rest of the area. Another way to decorate parquet is borders, or friezes, which are patterned stripes. They will help to effectively separate and highlight functional areas in the room. Today, the so-called studios are popular - a kitchen and a living room combined into one room. Here, it is appropriate to use two types of flooring: tiles in the working area of the kitchen and parquet on the rest of the floor area.
