It looks beautiful on any table, and the taste is wonderful, and consists mainly of vegetables. However, the presence of herring in the salad slightly violates its vegetable "status". We would like to offer you delicious salads, consisting of both vegetables and meat. For starters, a very tender and fresh layered vegetable salad, which will undoubtedly decorate your menu and please your family members with its taste.
Layered vegetable salad
Ingredients:
- 4 potatoes
- 2 large beets
- 3-4 carrots (depends on the size)
- 2 large apples
- 1 large juicy bulb
- 200 grams of mayonnaise
- vinegar
- sugar, salt to taste
Method of preparation:Boil the potatoes and carrots. Bake the beets, and cut the onion into thin half rings and marinate. For the marinade, mix vinegar and water (approximately 1:1), add salt and sugar – you should get a pleasant-tasting marinade. To prepare the salad, you will need a fairly large flat dish. Grate the vegetables and lay them out in layers. Lightly grease each layer with mayonnaise.
Repeat all layers in the same sequence.All layered salads should soak for several hours. You can make it in the evening and leave it in the refrigerator overnight. Cut it like a cake. The salad is very light and pleasant. It is better to make homemade mayonnaise or take a high-quality ready-made sauce. In principle, you do not need to salt the vegetables, since mayonnaise contains salt, but if this is not enough for you, you can lightly salt each layer of vegetables.
Layered salad with cucumber and chicken
Ingredients:
- 150-200 grams of chicken breast (fried, boiled, smoked)
- 2 fresh cucumbers
- 3 hard boiled eggs
- 100 grams of hard cheese
- 100 grams of mayonnaise
- 5 walnuts
- prunes (6-8 pieces)
Method of preparation:To prepare this very delicate and delicious layered salad, cut the chicken breast and peeled fresh cucumbers into small strips. Peel and dice the eggs (grind one yolk and set it aside – you will need it for decoration). Grate the cheese. Now “assemble” the salad – all the ingredients are laid in layers:

Layered salad with sour cream sauce
Ingredients:
- 2 large beets
- 3 large carrots
- large juicy bulb
- 5-6 salted cucumbers
- 1-2 wet or pickled apples
- a few salted or pickled mushrooms (best chanterelles - they are bright, and the salad will look festive)
- 250 grams of sour cream
- a tablespoon of mustard with seeds
- a teaspoon of hot chilli sauce
Method of preparation:Bake the beets, boil the carrots. Grate the cooled vegetables. Cut the cucumbers into thin strips. Cut the apples into strips, and the onion into small cubes. Lay all the salad ingredients in layers. Coat each layer with sour cream sauce. Like all layered salads, our salad cake should be well soaked. It can be prepared in advance, and by the time the guests arrive, it will have reached the right condition.
Sprinkle the top layer with chopped pickles.apples and decorate with mushrooms. Coat the sides with sauce – the layered salad should look like a cake. It can be prepared in advance, and by the time the guests arrive, it will have reached the right condition. Sour cream sauce: mix sour cream, mustard and chili sauce, beat everything lightly.
Layered salad "Monomakh's Hat"
Ingredients:
- 200 grams of juicy ham
- 3 boiled potatoes
- 3 boiled eggs
- 2 carrots (uncooked)
- 200 grams of mayonnaise
- handful of peeled walnuts
- 150 grams of hard cheese
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 grenade
- salt to taste
Method of preparation:Cut the ham into thin strips. Grate the cheese, potatoes, carrots and eggs. Chop the nuts. Salt the carrots, add chopped garlic and season with mayonnaise – in other words, prepare a kind of salad that will serve as one of the layers.
