To prepare the dough, combine soft butter withgranulated sugar and beat well until the butter turns white. Now add sour cream and stir the mixture until the sugar grains are completely dissolved. As soon as the mass becomes homogeneous, divide the dough into two halves. Add cocoa and a glass of flour to one of them. In the other - just flour. Add half a teaspoon of soda or a teaspoon of baking powder to each portion. Add flour gradually, thoroughly mixing the thick mass. As a result, you should get a soft and smooth-looking dough: not too tight, but at the same time, it comes off well from your hands. At first glance, it may seem that the recipe is inaccurate - not enough flour. However, do not overdo it, otherwise the cakes will be too hard and will not soak up the cream well. Put the finished dough in the refrigerator for about half an hour, having previously divided both the light and dark parts into three cakes - the future cakes. If desired, you can make more layers, but remember - the thinner the layers, the harder it is to roll them out. The rested dough should be carefully rolled out and transferred to a baking sheet. Do not forget to immediately give the layers the desired shape. Bake the cake in the oven at 180 degrees, each layer will take about 15 minutes.
