If your onion is small, then you can cut it into half rings, and if it is large, then it is better to chop it into several parts and crumble. Next, pour the onion into the frying pan, add oil and start stewing. It is important to constantly monitor the process to avoid burning. To do this, you need to constantly stir the onion with a spatula until it acquires a golden color and a mind-blowing aroma. This stage of the process is very important for the future pie, otherwise, if it is not fully cooked, the onion will subsequently be hard, which is not quite appropriate in the pie, or, conversely, it can be burnt if we do not keep an eye on it. Next, grate the processed cheese. Advice: before cooking, it is better to keep the cheese in the freezer for a short time (the main thing is not to overcook it), this way it becomes harder and then easier to grate, does not fall apart. Although many curds can be grated without problems and without preliminary freezing. Then you can add hard cheese if desired. It should also be grated, add eggs, salt, for greater flavor you can add pepper, dill or other herbs. Mix everything. It is necessary for the onion to cool.
