Today, October 24, the State Duma supported the ban on naming children with unusual names consisting of numerals, letters, symbols, digital symbols and obscene language that form various abbreviations. The author of the bill was deputy Valentina Petrenko. According to her, the ban will ensure the protection of the rights of minors to a name, and will also help to avoid ridicule from others. Earlier, we recall, the registry office refused to register a newborn with the name BOCh rVF 260602 (Biological object of a person of the Voronin - Frolov family, born on June 26, 2002). Also included in the rating of "unsuccessful names" for children were Dolphin, Oceana, Princess Daniella, Zarya-Zaryanitsa, Alyosha-Kaprina, April, Sofia-Solnyshko and others.
