New Year's compositionsHow to prepare your home for the New Year?This question begins to occupy our minds, excited by the pre-holiday bustle, already from the end of autumn. And why? Because it is from this time that Christmas tree decorations and gift sets appear on sale, and offices and stores sparkle with tinsel, garlands, decorated trees and New Year's compositions. By the way, about compositions... You will agree that the holiday atmosphere and its external entourage were and remain very important components of any celebration, and New Year's - especially. Of course, it is hardly possible to completely change the entire interior of the apartment for the sake of one single day of the year. But this is not necessary, because the whole is made up of little things. And such a wonderful and original little thing will be New Year's compositions, which can be made from fresh flowers and pine branches, complemented with fresh fruits, candles and Christmas tree decorations. You can also make something from scrap materials or use your handicraft skills for these purposes and make this "something" the basis of a New Year's composition. However, let's consider in detail how to make original New Year's compositions with your own hands.

Christmas Orchid

Naturally, the main guest in any house istime to celebrate the New Year - the Christmas tree. Everyone loves to decorate the Christmas tree: both adults and children. But what to decorate it with? Store-bought balls and tinsel are far from the only items for decorating the New Year's beauty. It can be dressed in handmade toys and garlands or even made from fresh flowers. How to make such an original Christmas tree decoration with your own hands? To create a New Year's flower, we will need:

  • aluminum wire of two colors;
  • two-tone thin decorative wire;
  • floristic containers;
  • floral tape (teip-tape) of two colors;
  • live orchid flowers;
  • Artificial aspidistra (floristic tape made of plastic or polypropylene).

We will make two Christmas tree decorations at once.Let's start with decorating the floral containers - special flasks into which water is poured. To do this, wrap them in artificial aspidistra and fix it to the container with decorative wires. Thus, from an ordinary floral flask, we got beautiful containers for flowers. Then fill our flasks with water and insert the prepared flowers into them. Do not forget to change the water in the flasks from time to time, then the flowers will stay fresh longer. Next, make two star-shaped frames from wire and slightly bend the rays so that the stars take the shape of a shallow bowl. On one of the frames, make a small hook, by which the decoration will subsequently be attached to the tree. Now connect the two frames together so that there is some distance between them. Thus, we got a three-dimensional star. Carefully insert the flowers in the prepared flasks into the resulting stars and fix them with decorative wire. Attach ribbons to the wire hooks. The decoration is ready, it can be hung on the tree. Please note that you can use a variety of flowers for this composition: from exotic orchids to familiar carnations. And the wire can be spray-painted or wrapped in ribbons. A tree decorated with fresh flowers will amaze your guests and will delight the eye throughout the New Year holidays.New Year compositions

Romantic composition with flowers and marshmallows

Do you want to have something on your table on New Year's Eve?there was some original decoration? Then romantic style compositions will suit you. And snow-white airy vanilla or creamy marshmallow will turn your ikebana into an exquisite sweet-coniferous New Year's decoration. To make a New Year's composition with flowers and marshmallows we will need:

  • ordinary cutting board made of wood or plastic;
  • a small piece of piaflora (floristic sponge);
  • food film;
  • tapes;
  • irises (or other fresh flowers);
  • candles;
  • coniferous branches;
  • marshmallow;
  • nail polish.

You can use the most popular candles for this composition.ordinary, inexpensive. You can turn plain household candles into fabulously beautiful New Year's candles using nail polish and a stencil. Or use Christmas tree tinsel, rain or satin ribbons for these purposes. First, soak a small piece of piaflor in water and wrap it in cling film. This will be the basis of our composition. Place it on a cutting board, wrap it with ribbons and decorate the floral foam with pine needles: cut several fragrant spruce branches to the desired size and insert them directly into the piaflor. The central element of the composition should be irises (by the way, gorgeous irises can be made from corrugated paper): it is the blue irises that will set the tone for the entire composition. Cut them to the desired length and secure them in the piaflor. Place candles next to the floral foam. They will help create a special magical atmosphere on New Year's Eve. The highlight of our composition will be marshmallows. Have you ever noticed how beautiful marshmallows are when you eat them? In our composition, marshmallows will play the role of snowballs, carelessly scattered across the board. Therefore, we lay out marshmallows chaotically, but tastefully, placing them between pine branches, ribbons and candles. By the way, instead of a cutting board, you can use a beautiful crystal dish or even a mirror in a frame: and your romantic New Year's composition will look simply magical!New Year compositions by own hands

Naughty Christmas trees

Who said that Christmas trees have to betraditional? Of course, it has already happened that on New Year's Eve in our house there is a green coniferous tree. However, today creative trees or even small tabletop trees are in fashion, as well as New Year's compositions, the center of which are such mischievous trees. Let's try to make them? For creative trees we will need:

  • cardboard;
  • glue;
  • scissors;
  • sticks for barbecue,
  • soft thick wire,
  • Scotch,
  • paper (any unnecessary or newspaper);
  • tinsel;
  • small fur-tree toys.

First, we cut out a cone from cardboard – the fourthpart of a circle with a radius of fifteen to twenty centimeters. Cut off the top of the cone and roll the cardboard pattern into a voluminous cone-shaped bag. Glue the edges together so that the cone holds its shape well. Now cut out the bottom from the same cardboard - a circle equal to the base of the cone - and make a small hole in its center for the trunk of the tree. Cut off a wire twice as long as the height of the cone. Put three barbecue sticks and wire in one bundle, aligning the ends on one side, and fasten with tape. Insert the trunk into the cone so that the wire passes through the hole at the top of the cone. Now fill the inner cavity of the cardboard cone with paper, simultaneously fixing the trunk of the tree along the central axis of the cone. Then put the bottom on the trunk and attach it to the cone with tape. And now the most pleasant moment. Let's start decorating the tree, wrapping it with tinsel and decorating it with small toys. Wind the tinsel onto the cone (previously coated with glue), turn by turn, starting from its base and ending with the wire tail. Bend the wire tail down, like the tip of a gnome's cap. You can hang a ball, a bell, a pine cone, or jingle bells on the end of the tail. Place several small toys on the tree and, if desired, complement its decoration with bows, beads, and anything else (depending on your mood and taste). Also cover the bottom and trunk with tinsel (or green floral tape, or corrugated paper). Make a pot for the mischievous tree from any suitable container, filling it with plaster or sand. Attach the tree to the pot and decorate it to your taste: with ribbons, corrugated paper, organza, tinsel. That's it - the base is ready. And then we make any New Year's compositions, adding to the base, for example, fresh tangerines, candles, live or artificial flowers, and fake gift wrapping.

Candlestick made of fir branches

Another version of a New Year's composition, which can become an independent decoration or an addition to another composition. For such a candlestick we will need:

  • coniferous branches with small needles (spruce, fir, larch, juniper);
  • dry grass (hay);
  • newspaper;
  • finished candle in a shallow candlestick;
  • glue;
  • sewing thread;
  • wire;
  • elements of decor (beads, bows, etc.).

First, we crumple the newspaper, forming it into a ball.the required diameter (ideally no more than fifteen centimeters). And wrap this ball with threads, compacting it and giving it a more or less even shape. Now lay dry grass around the newspaper ball, while continuing to wrap it with threads. This way we will attach hay to the ball and make the ball itself even denser. Having compacted and enlarged the ball with dry grass, we secure the thread and make a depression in the ball for the candlestick: the hay and newspaper should easily crumple and tamp. We insert the candlestick into the depression, press the ball from below, making it stable and begin decorating. Using glue (a glue gun), glue coniferous branches to the ball. This can be done in different ways. You can glue the branches so that the ball ends up in open coniferous "palms". You can divide the branches into small parts and make a hedgehog ball by sticking the branches in like hedgehog needles. You can cover the edges of the candlestick with branches, or you can leave them free of branches. Finally, decorate the ball with bows and beads. Important! All materials used for this candlestick burn well! Therefore, be extremely careful and attentive when using a coniferous candlestick as a New Year's decor. As you can see, it is not at all difficult to make New Year's compositions with your own hands. Use coniferous branches, candles and fresh flowers, decorative handmade candlesticks and any New Year attributes for this. You can complement such compositions with New Year's Christmas tree balls or Christmas angels. In general, fantasize! Let your New Year's composition become an exclusive decoration and an element of the overall holiday decor. Good luck! We recommend reading:
