Every parent wants for his child himselfthe best. Moms and dads try to pass on their experience, give advice, which, in their opinion, will help the beloved child to achieve everything they can. But you can't teach a person what you don't know how, but there are not so many of these rich people among us. 1200 American millionaires shared their recipes of success - those who, as they say, made themselves, and did not inherit or won the lottery. The researchers summarized their secrets and made up seven tips that wealthy people give to their children.
1. You deserve to be rich
Make a fortune from scratch? Many people are sure that this is impossible. But when you have a prestigious school, university, and parental support behind you, then it’s a different matter, and your career will take off almost from the cradle. Or you have to be born a genius. Successful millionaires insist that all this is not necessary, although it’s not bad. So, lesson one: you deserve to be rich. If you provide a product or service that is in demand, you will definitely get rich. True, for this you need to work in a free market economy.Photo: Getty Images
2. Money gives freedom
Money doesn't buy happiness, we were told. They say that with a loved one, even a hut is paradise. But there is much more happiness when you don’t have to think about money, and you live not in a flimsy Khrushchev-era apartment, but in a cozy house. The biggest advantage of wealth is the freedom it gives you to live your life the way you want. Being rich, you can live anywhere, do anything, and be whoever you dream of. The most important thing is that having money eliminates financial worries and allows you to enjoy your chosen lifestyle. For our Russian mentality, this is a truth that has not yet been fully absorbed. For too long, we have been accustomed to the idea that chasing money is shameful.
3. No one owes you anything.
And in general, no one owes anything to anyone. You must create your own future. Everyone is born into different circumstances, that's true. But everyone has the same rights. Millionaires advise: teach your children independence and self-reliance. Paradoxically, the more independently we behave and show that we don't need anyone's help, the more people strive to help us. And psychologists confirm: people with developed self-respect attract other people.
4. Earn on other people's problems
"The world wants you to become rich because"There are many problems with it," - . If you want to make money, solve a medium-sized problem. If you want to make a lot of money, solve a big problem. The bigger the problem you solve, the richer you become. Focus your unique talents, abilities, and energy on finding a solution to a problem, and you'll be on your way to wealth.
5. Think with your head
In America, you can come across signs everywherewith the words “Think!” And for good reason. In school, children are taught exactly what they should think. And a potentially successful businessman must know how to think. Your children will receive many excellent lessons from the most educated teachers who most likely know nothing about how to get rich. Teach your children to draw their own conclusions and forge their own path, no matter how many people criticize their ambitions, doubt their abilities, and laugh at their prospects.Photo: Getty Images
6. Set high goals
Many psychologists believe that people are better off havinglow expectations so as not to be disappointed when they fail. They believe that people are happier if they settle for less. This is another formula aimed at the mass consumer. Teach children to stop being afraid and to live in a world of potential chances and opportunities. Let the middle class be satisfied with mediocrity while you strive for the stars. Remember that many of the most successful people in the world were once ridiculed and mocked.
7. Believe in yourself
As practice shows, success is achievedfar from all. The road to fame, wealth and other pleasant things is paved with failures, setbacks and disappointments. The secret of survival: don't give up. Whatever happens in your life, always believe in yourself and your ability to cope with any difficulties on your life's path. You may lose supporters, but never lose faith in yourself.
