It gnaws through the skin, feeds, and lays eggs. The main symptom of scabies is severe itching. It is almost imperceptible during the day, but becomes very strong at night, since this is when the parasites are especially active. The child scratches the skin, infection gets into the wounds, and they become covered with crusts. Scabies in children is also characterized by the following symptoms:
- Trouble sleeping The child often wakes up, crying at night.
- Drowsiness and capriciousness in the afternoon.
- Cracks in the skin. These are outdated scabby moves.
- Small rashes of about 1 mm. They look like nodules, may be pinkish or flesh-colored. Rashes appear in places of parasite bites.
In adults, the scabies mite settles only inplaces with the thinnest skin, for example, between the fingers. But in children, there are much more "tasty" places for mites. They concentrate between the fingers, on the wrists, on the stomach, on the back, on the inner thighs, in the armpits. In boys, the scabies mite also attacks the genitals. If the child is prone to allergies, then it is quite difficult to diagnose scabies. The fact is that it is mistaken for an allergic reaction and the necessary testing is not carried out immediately. It is important to complete the treatment for scabies to completely get rid of all the parasites, and the disease does not return again.
