Photo: GettyIn the course of long observations and experiments it was found that the listed chemical compounds in the long-term effect provoke:
- nausea;
- headache;
- premature delivery;
- cancer.
However, do not panic at once. Data on the harmful effects of lacquer on the body were collected by observing the employees of beauty salons - that is, women who deal with coloring substances for 8 hours a day. An ordinary woman paints her nails no more often than once a week, so the probability of poisoning with toluene or formaldehyde is negligible.
Manicure during pregnancy: what to look for
Doctors do not officially prohibit getting a manicurepregnant women. Even if nail polishes contain dangerous substances, they are present in small quantities. Chemical compounds cannot penetrate into the blood through the nail plate and cause significant harm. However, pregnant women should take care of the following things before applying nail polish:
- do manicure only in well-ventilated areas, so that as little harmful fumes as possible fall into the lungs;
- give up the means for removing varnish with the content of acetone;
- Do not use cheap varnishes - it's better to buy one cosmetic product, but of European quality with a proven and safe formula;
- Do not paint your nails more than once a week: neat manicure is first of all a carefully processed cuticle and a beautiful shape of the nail plate, so you can completely do without varnish.
It is also worth considering the fact that due tohormonal adjustment lacquers sometimes cease to be properly maintained on the nails of pregnant women. Therefore, it makes sense at the time to abandon the use of colorants, limiting the removal of cuticles, polishing and sawing nails.
