Photo: personal archive of Evgenia YurchenkoEvgenia Yurchenko, mother of three-year-old Zhora Rud from Chelyabinsk, told how she helps her son hear, speak, and learn:"Immediately after birth, the doctors told me: the son does not hear. Of course, I burst into tears, my husband kept, but we watched every reaction of Zhora, everyone hoped that he would start responding to our voices. At first there was a hope that the doctors were mistaken, because the exact diagnosis is established after a four-month survey. The survey was conducted, the diagnosis of "sensorineural hearing loss of the 4th degree" sounded like a verdict. Our kid did not roam, did not respond, did not wake up from the rumble of the perforator behind the wall ... The son was recognized as a disabled child. But we did not intend to surrender. Doctors advised hearing aids, and the state even paid for them: it was vital for Zhora, and the devices were included in the individual rehabilitation program. Alas, Zhora, despite the fact that on each ear he had small amplifying devices, practically nothing not heard. The opinions of the doctors were divided. The opinions of the doctors were divided: some recommended cochlear implantation, others advised to change the hearing aids to more powerful ones. I understood, the operation is always a risk. During the operation (cochlear implantation), a system of electrodes is built into the child's inner ear, which, using electrical stimulation of the remaining fibers of the auditory nerve, helps to perceive sound information. And there was another "but": in Chelyabinsk, where we live, there are no specialists who would lead the child, they trained him after "cochlear". After all, the implant itself gives only an opportunity to hear, but to speak, to communicate with children are taught in special centers. As a result, we at the family council decided to buy a son of super-powerful hearing aids. But the state refused to compensate for their cost, although the IPR devices were registered. Apparatus cost more than one hundred thousand rubles, for our family - the amount is serious. I appealed to deputies, officials, the children's ombudsman, suffered coldly polite, like sour milk, refusals under the full program. And yet, as a result, something worked, and we were paid half the cost of the devices by the administration of the district where we live. With new devices, Zhora began to hear, went to a specialized group of kindergarten. But classes with a speech therapist in a kindergarten are not enough, we have to pay for private lessons. And the results are! The teachers are sure that Zhora will be able to go to the general education school, provided that he will have high-quality devices and regular classes with speech therapists. Recently, the son underwent a mandatory medical commission, the doctors said: the apparatus should be changed. The service life of such complicated equipment is a maximum of four years, and they have expired. The first thing I did was apply to the Chelyabinsk branch of the Federal Insurance Service. Here I was offered to buy the devices at my own expense, and then promised to compensate ... 18 000 rub. of the total cost - this is from 157 000 rubles. !!! In general, the option is unacceptable absolutely. I went to several charitable foundations, they answered only in Rusfond. Operatively collected all the necessary documents - the list is on the site of Rusfond. And on July 28, the BF opened a page of Zhora on its website. I know that many parents start collecting their own money in social networks for their children, but I think it's right to apply to charity fund. The chief audiologist of the Chelyabinsk region Yulia Kadykova (Chelyabinsk):“Zhora has 4th degree bilateral deafness, sothe boy could hear and develop speech skills, he needs super-powerful hearing aids." The Rusfond Charitable Foundation is one of the five largest charitable foundations in Russia. In 2015, a representative office was opened in the Chelyabinsk region. The foundation helps seriously ill children, promotes the development of civil society and the introduction of high medical technologies. The main principles of the Rusfond activity are: targeted assistance, systematic and comprehensive approach to organizing fundraising, reporting and transparency, ongoing dialogue and cooperation with partners and benefactors.
