Following Rimsky-Korsakov, who sang the praises of flightbumblebee, designer Jeffrey Mann decided to immortalize the flight of a moth. To do this, he filmed the unfortunate insect fluttering near a burning light bulb using a long exposure, then digitized the trajectory of the movement, built a three-dimensional model from wire and, finally, made a lampshade based on it. Jeffrey did not do such a titanic job in vain: the result amazes with an intricate form in the spirit of Zaha Hadid. Only it is a pity for the butterfly. www.mrmann.co.ukFlying moth
