Stylist Elena BelovaThe interior design of a small kitchenInterior design of small kitchen photoInitial data:A two-room apartment in a block house of the II-18 series has a kitchen of 8 m². The matter is complicated by the elongated rectangular shape of the room (3.6 × 2.4 m), as well as the low ceiling and window sill. Obviously, the cheerful gatherings at the large table that the owners love are unlikely to be possible here. However, the Solution: The owners found a worthy way out of the situation. They installed the refrigerator right next to the door, thus unloading the area by the window. In the previous place, due to the narrow partition (40 cm), the old unit blocked access to daylight. For the same reason - because of the narrow partition - they decided not to lay the standard depth countertop (60 cm) along the entire wall. Instead, they placed a narrow washing machine with vertical loading in the corner. The dining area was formed by a long (2 m) bench, inscribed under the window sill from the wall to the washing machine, a square transformable table and a couple of chairs. When guests arrive, the table is unfolded, chairs are added, and there are seven seats. This is how we managed to create a spacious, well-equipped and beautiful kitchen.
The "apron" is lined with small (10 × 10 cm)Italian ceramic granite tiles of turquoise color. In Italy, it is called a mosaic, we have - "pig". To enhance the already contrasting solution used grout for joints, painted in terracotta color. The laminated tabletop, on the contrary, was made lighter (alder) to match the floor.
Used Paulmann rail lighting system(Germany). Its distinctive features are high operating voltage (220 V) and the absence of a bulky transformer. Protection against electric shock provides a special rail design. Under the dielectric plates in it are hidden two copper conductors. The maximum total power of luminaires is 1000 watts.
The walls of the kitchen are covered with decorative plaster. Usually it is imposed with wide and coarse strokes, but such a brutal texture is not suitable for a small room. Therefore, on the surface inflicted a notch with a spatula with small teeth. That is, the wall seemed to be “combed” in a vertical direction. The finished white surface is covered with pink glaze, which is absorbed unevenly into the plaster. As a result, achieved a different color effect.
The coloristic solution of the interior is built oncontrast. Three colors dominate: pink (wall covering), beige (floor tiles and curtains), terracotta (table and kitchen sets). The kitchen “apron” of deep turquoise color contrasts with them, as well as the lamp shade, fabrics and accessories of different shades of blue.
Under the bench fit wicker baskets for textiles and supplies. The layout of the underfloor heating system under the tiles does not reach the window of 50 cm, so that the containers do not heat up.
ordered in Belarus. Its undoubted advantages are the low price and natural material of the facades. They were made of solid oak and then tinted. The "filling" is quite modern. The doors and drawers open with a light touch of the hand. The owners argued for some time about what color of equipment and sink to choose, and eventually settled on stainless steel. It looks decent, is widely available in stores, and is "affordable".
