Almost all of us did applique work in childhood. This means that we can easily master the basics of the technique of "decoupage" (from the French decouper - to cut out). From napkins with their own hands
- For work you will need a chest of drawers, glue-varnish, water-based varnishbase, paper napkins, blue and orange paint, roller, brush. If the chest of drawers is new, it will not require preparation. If the item has been used, the old paint or varnish is removed, the surface is sanded.
- Using a roller, all external and internalThe surfaces of the chest of drawers, including the drawers, are covered with blue acrylic paint. A brush is used to work in hard-to-reach places. The painted chest of drawers is left to dry.
- The top, motley layer of the napkin is carefully separated from the inner, white one. This is necessary so that the paper is well saturated with glue-varnish.
- Napkins are placed on the fronts of drawers, creating the necessary pattern. Then, using a damp sponge, the surface is lightly moistened with water. The napkins fit more tightly to the product and do not deform when the glue-varnish is subsequently applied.
- Three layers of glue-varnish are applied to the napkins using a brush. Each of them should completely soak the paper.
- The artistic drips are created by carefully pouring orange paint onto the top of the dresser. The piece is then coated with two layers of water-based varnish.
- The work is completed.
