Astilba

Phlox landing and carePhlox landing and care Last year I purchasedtwo new items of the Astilby hybrid - Heart and Soul (Heart and Soul) and Stand and Deliver (Stand and Deliver). The plants are rather tall, about 80 cm, very beautiful, with fluffy tender inflorescences and large green leaves with wavy serrated edges. Hut and Soul large light green beautiful leaves - the ornament of the bush. Against their backdrop, bright, eye-catching inflorescences are floating. Both astilbes feel very well in the sun. In the first astilbe, the color of the inflorescence is gently gently pink, in the shining rays of the morning sun - with a lilac drop, in the second - the color is more intense, bright pink.

Brunner

Nyvyanik landing and leavingNyvyanik landing and care Uncomplicated perennialgrows well, does not require special care, is decorative from the end of April (the appearance of leaves) to the first frost, when the leaves die. Young leaves appear throughout the summer, and this gives the brunner brushes always a fresh and elegant look. The new 2008 is Jack Frost, whose silver leaves are decorated with dark green veins, and the Looking Glass - with shiny, uniformly silvery leaves. The flowers they have, like the usual brunner, are blue. Both varieties grow beautifully in the penumbra, and their spring bloom is just a fairy tale, a blue glow over the precious flickering of leaves. Also this year, Mr. Morse (Mr. Morse) - with silver leaves and snow-white, unforgettable flowers - should appear.

Buzulniki

shade-tolerant and hygrophilous. In the garden, they develop better in the penumbra, although with abundant and regular watering they feel good in the sun. In some varieties, flowers are bright yellow rather large baskets, raised to a height of 100 cm, others - elongated candles. Flowers and leaves are well folded into a beautiful and durable autumn bouquet. To the known varieties Desdemona (Desdemona), Othello (Othello), Sommer gold (Sommer gold) and Orange Kvin (Огапге Оуееn) the brand Britt Marie Crawford (Britt Marie Crawford) was added. He is perfection: a large bush with chocolate-purple leaves and bright orange daisies pleases from spring until autumn.

Basilists

Uncomplicated, decorative flowers and foliagemake this irreplaceable this large perennial for wetlands, banks of water, shady gardens. To the famous variegated varieties with simple colors of white, purple, lilac-pink and dark-red flowers, a cultivar with terry lavender flowers, Hewitt's Double, was added with a long flowering in the second half of the summer, in July-August, the plant is high - up to 115 cm, a variety of wintering, hibernating without shelter. Vasilistnik looks great in the bouquet, gives it airiness and lightness.

Geiger

Recently, fans of decorative leavesthe plants were carried away by Geikhera. So quickly this beauty became a favorite and designers. There were many hybrid geichers with very decorative foliage of the most diverse color. Especially good are the geocheers from the Parade of the Planets series - silvery-green Venus, reddish-silver Mars, pinkish-greenish Neptune, greenish Mercury. But we are somewhat tired of the variegated leaves, and as if sensing this, the originators offer this year a calmer but contrasting combination of leaves: in Tiramisu Tiramisu) is an interesting contrast between the golden yellow leaf and the bright red spots along the veins.

Helenium

The main advantage of the helenium of the autumn(family of astroves) - later and very abundant flowering. It looks very impressive both in group and single plantings. Gelenium hybrid varieties have a different height, color and different flowering periods. The earliest varieties bloom in July - it's a short red-bronze Crimson Beauty and the 2005 hit Chelsea: red-brown-yellow, it can re-bloom in September. In 2006, for the first time, a Double Trouble double-blossom cultivar appeared - bright yellow-lemon with the center of the same color, the color so bright that it attracts the eye in the flower garden, the bush is powerful, tall and rapidly growing. Now he is quietly conquering the space in our gardens, pleasing abundant flowering. A year now marked by the appearance of a kind of sort of Autemn Lollipop (Autemn Lollipop), whose flower is similar to the yellow-brown pompom with a rare "collar" of yellow petals.

Geranium

This plant has wonderful decorativequality: first abundant flowering, at the end of summer there are pretty fruits - "cranes spouts", and then the leaves are painted in all the colors of autumn. It reproduces well, grows both in the penumbra and in the sun, the varieties blossom at different times, which allows them to pick plants so that flowering lasts almost all summer. Foliage of geraniums is juicy, so the bushes do not lose their attractiveness even after flowering. Varieties of geraniums are huge, but with double flowers - a unit, this is the Plenum and Summer Skies with lilac-blue flowers. This year we are promised a new compact meadow geranium with terry white flowers and purple rays in the center - a variety called Double Jewel (Double Treasure). I hope that this variety will be a real treasure in my collection. Among the hybrid geraniums with simple flowers - a great variety. There are geraniums high - Sandrine, lower - Blue Sunrise and Crystal Lake and very small ones - for example Elke, only 25 cm high. Sandrine has big dark purple flowers with a black center, and the leaves are light-yellow-green and contrast with dark petals. The very beautiful leaves of the Blue Sunrise, the young leaves are orange, later they turn yellow and only then are green, the flowers are pretty ordinary - blue, and the Crystal Lake variety is very resistant in winter, the bloom is long - from July to frost, the flowers are very beautiful - blue with dark veins, a wonderful game of contrasts. The compact rounded bush Elke is simply charming - dark pink flowers with red veins, a light center and light tips on the edges of the petals. Very attractive is Patricia (Patrisia) - a bright long-blooming geranium. Color petals are interesting, they are red and crimson with chestnut veins and the same dark center, and on the leaves a relief pattern stands out.

Bathers

They blossom in the first half of summer, when flowersyet not so much. Therefore, their warm joyful flowers of golden hues are so attractive. The shape of flowers - from spherical to semi-open and open. Modern varieties of bathing suits are hybrids of European, Asian, Altaic and large-petalled bathing suits. They are united under the name "cultural bathing-place". We know orange, yellow, simple and terry bathing suits. And now we are offered a light cream-lemon with semi-double half-open flowers. Call this beautiful Cheddar (Cheddar).

Daylilies

The daily boom that hit America, graduallygot to us. This is due primarily to the unpretentiousness of daylilies, an incredible variety of colors and forms of flowers. Daylilies are less susceptible to diseases and pests, early grow in the spring, abundant foliage is decorative until frosts. Among the novelties of the 2008 selection there are many large-flowered terry varieties, worthy of admiration. But the biggest and brightest among them is Mose's Fire with bright red terry velvet flowers.

Lilies

Most recently, we have genuine masterpiecesbreeding - OT-hybrids, or Orienepet. These lilies are different from others in that they have huge (up to 25 cm) flowers of very different bright colors. The aroma is pleasant: when they blossom, the whole garden smells. Mass distribution of OT-hybrids have not yet received, but the prospects are certain: they blossom much longer than other lilies, gradually opening one flower after another. The stems are so strong that I sometimes tie phloxes to them. With proper care on one stem can blossom up to 10 or more flowers. Agrotechnics are common; they hibernate well, it is only necessary to shelter them from the rain in the fall.

Cleaning

Its curly flesh with thick flesh is very goodleaves and pink flowers, not very bright, but quite attractive. Somehow, imperceptibly and gradually new hybrid varieties began to appear; of course, they can not be compared with the quantity and quality of geicher and echinacea, but nevertheless ... Among the novelties is Star Dust - Star dust with bright white flowers, very adorning the garden in the fall. Behind him come varieties with dark, almost black leaves - this is Linda Windsor (Lynda Windsor), Bon Bon (Bon Bon), in its own way spectacular clearings with variegated leaves and white and pink flowers - Pink Chablis, Laios ( Lajos). The brightest red flowers - in the low purification of Red Cauli (Red Cauli). Camomile (Nivian)

Nivianik

Due to its decorative and varietyvarieties of humble daisy is becoming increasingly popular among florists. The most popular is Nivianica, the largest and its varieties. The height of the plants is different, most varieties are 60-70 cm, the diameter of the flower is up to 15 cm, blooms from the first of July. Only two colors are white and yellow, and what bright varieties have appeared recently: petals are half-double and double, with curls and elongated, with rounded and torn edges, high and low! In 2008, the replenishment of terry varieties - Fiona Coghill (Fiona Coghill) with a large double pompon and light yellow-green center, Sante (Sante) - terry with a bright yellow center. There are varieties with petals in several tiers - Aglaia (Aglaia) and Goldrush (Goldrausch). At Goldrush the height of the bushes is only 35 cm, the flower is original: around the yellow center the first row of petals is yellow, and the second and third - white with cut petals.

Peonies

Several years ago, among the pions appearednovelties - intersectional hybrids called "Ito-hybrids". They were withdrawn by the Japanese breeder Professor Toichi Ito, who crossed pions with a tree-like and milky-flowered. He received plants with foliage of peonies tree-like, and properties - grassy. The time of flowering and agrotechnics is like that of grassy peonies. This year it will be possible to purchase varieties: Bartzella - bright yellow terry with red interspersing in the center, Julia Rose - white and pink with a dark red center, Kopper Kettle - orange-red, Sequestered Sunshine (Sequestered Sunshine) - yellow-lemon with a red coating in the center. Blossom new items at the same time with varieties of herbaceous peonies, stems for winter cut, as in grassy, which distinguishes them from tree-like parents.

Bastard

Its Latin name is "Eupatorium." It happened in the name of the Pontus king Mithridates Evpator, who allegedly used this plant as an antidote. Legend is or is, no one knows, but that the bastard is regally beautiful, undoubtedly. Particularly attractive in the second half of the summer and in the autumn, when its lush pale purple inflorescences appear. Flowers stand well in the water. It is unfortunate that he is not very well known in our gardens. The purple bract is widespread - a majestic plant from 1.5 to 2 meters in height with fluffy purple inflorescences on very strong stems growing without supports. Variety Atropurpureum with very dark stems is more common on sale. A very spectacular Chocolite with dark bronze-purple, almost black lanceolate leaves and cream-white flowers. For small gardens, foreign companies offer a new compact plant on the market with wine-red flowers only 80 cm high.

Phloxes

This year, several new products are promised: bright pink with a darker eye Cosmopolitan, dark purple Peep Keys, bright pink with a bright eye Watermelon Punch, pure white Pina Colada, white and pink with a bright beautiful star in the center of Svizli. Nothing outstanding, we already have many similar varieties, I would single out only Svizli.

Echinacea

Echinacea purple every year dresses inan increasingly bizarre outfit. In the near future we will be pleased with new terry varieties. It's Pink Deluxe Delight with pink and Coconut Lime with white flowers. There are already known Echinacea with bright yellow petals, this is Harvest Moon and Sunrise. An even brighter, intense orange coloration in the new Sandown variety with non-budding petals on strong stems. Judging by the descriptions, there should be an interesting echinacea, I hope that it is not worse than my favorite sort of Fatal Etrekshn. In 2008, we are promised the first green echinacea of Green Envi.

Hydrangeas

Breeders made another revolution. Now there are new varieties of hydrangea large-leaved, or garden. These are the most beautiful, color-changing inflorescences, depending on the acidity of the hydrangea soil, but because of the harsh winters they demanded the same cover as the roses, since they bloomed on the shoots of last year. And new varieties blossom on the shoots of this year and therefore do not require such careful shelter as before. Let's see how they behave, given our winters.
