The kitchen stove is perceived as a symbol of the hearth by the vast majority of Europeans. It is not surprising that owners make not only high functional, but also aesthetic demands on this equipment. The stove should be easy to use, maintain, economical and at the same time "look good". The latter is especially important for kitchen-living rooms, in which the work and dining areas are located in the same room. Today, there are thousands of models of cookers, hobs and ovens on sale. It is not easy to understand all their diversity. What should you pay attention to first?

Freestanding hob or built-in?

Sets of built-in hob andovens have become very popular in recent years, along with new lines of kitchen units. Built-in appliances have a number of advantages: optimal use of kitchen space, the most convenient arrangement of hobs and ovens, which is especially important for a small room. By the wayIn addition to gas and electric hobs, there are also mixed, gas-electric ones - one or (less often) two burners are electric, the rest are gas. Such a universal design is good for those places where there are problems with the supply of gas or electricity. Examples of such hobs include the AKM 404 from Whirlpool (USA), PH 631 MS from Ariston (Italy), GCS 62 C from Gorenje (Slovenia); stoves – A631 from Ardo (Italy), K 3M11 from Indesit (Italy). For example, if the housewife is used to using the oven often, it makes sense to install it at the height of the countertop, and not at floor level: you will not have to bend over, and it is much easier to monitor the operation of the oven. If no one is seriously interested in cooking, it may be worth leaving the oven below or refuse its services altogether. If necessary, the "oven part" can be performed by a built-in steamer or a microwave oven with a grill and convection, and the free space under the countertop is perfect for storing kitchen utensils. The designer has room to turn around: there are many more options for placing equipment than for a free-standing stove. The advantage of the latter can be considered its relatively low cost. Built-in equipment is more expensive, as it is equipped with a cooling system. The difference in price between budget models of freestanding and built-in appliances reaches 10 - 20%, while for expensive models it is not so significant.Picture 1. To extract the heated baking tray, special forceps are used, which can be included in the Teka oven set.
