Child eats handsEvery child sooner or later picks upSpoon Photo: Stanislav Savin Food transported with food, washing and bathing after each meal - all this is undoubtedly troublesome. But first of all, most mothers worry that everything is “on time, right and like everyone else.” If we consider that on average, a child begins to be interested in “adult” food at the age of six months, and confidently wield cutlery by the age of 2.5–3 years, then it will take a long time to worry! Let's try not to waste our nerves and figure out what's what. So, the child's age is nearing 6 months, he gradually begins to sit on his own and show food interest. Most doctors and child psychologists recommend immediately, without shelving, to offer the kid a small spoon. First, handling it will develop the fine motor skills of your child. And secondly, from the very beginning he will get used to the indispensable presence of a spoon on the table during the meal. But addiction is a gradual process. It can last for half a year, a year, or even all two. While these beautiful months of knowledge of the world and of oneself by a child last, a few simple rules will help to ease the life of the mother. Here they are: Rule 1. Offer your baby different foods and be prepared to follow his tastes. Do not be afraid that at some time he clearly identifies one or two products and ignores the rest. This is temporary. Be prepared also for the fact that he can suddenly drastically change his taste preferences. Experiment calmly. Let the menu be not only cereals, but also such food so that it can be taken with a spoon and hands: boiled vegetables cut into small pieces, fresh and baked fruits, pieces of meat and fish fillets, etc.Child eats handsMaintain the child's nutritional interestPhoto: Julia Uryadova Read more:
