This can be a reaction to hard water, unsuitable bathing or washing products. The cause of redness on the skin of a baby can be the mother's menu: excessively spicy or allergenic food. With the elimination of aggressive factors and good care, the unpleasant symptoms will disappear on their own. But sometimes red spots signal dermatitis that requires treatment:
- Atopic or allergic. Spots are single, appear on the body or limbs.
- Seborane. The reddened areas are covered with a yellowish crust on top. Most often, the fungal lesion manifests itself in the first month after birth. Without treatment, this condition is delayed for several years.
- The diaper. Redness is localized around the buttocks and genitals. They can peel and cause itching. Grayish plaque indicates a concomitant fungal lesion.
- Contact. Red spots and streaks appear at the points of friction of coarse sutures of clothing. Treatment is needed if the affected areas are inflamed.
Red spots on a child's arms or legscauses not only allergic dermatitis. Often they are a reaction to insect bites. In addition to dermatitis, round redness on the baby's body can appear due to pink lichen. This fungal infection is transmitted from person to person. Children attending nurseries and kindergartens often suffer from it. Reddish spots occur with dysbacteriosis. Also, different types of skin redness can indicate various infectious diseases: rubella, measles, scarlet fever, chickenpox. They are usually accompanied by poor health and fever.
