This includes a visit to a therapist, endocrinologist and dentist. A man should visit a urologist to assess the state of the reproductive system. A woman needs to be examined by a gynecologist, have an ultrasound of the pelvic organs and thyroid gland. If any of the relatives have hereditary diseases, they should also undergo a medical genetic consultation. Before planning a pregnancy, the following tests should be taken:
- Blood chemistry.
- Blood test for hepatitis and HIV.
- Blood test for the group and Rh factor.
- Analysis for ToRCH infection.
- Analysis for hormones.

It is desirable for a man to make a spermogram. When detecting sexual infections, you should undergo a sanation. For 2-3 months before the expected conception and the man, and the woman should adjust the diet, start taking multivitamin preparations. Both need to give up alcohol, medicine, smoking, contraception. Avoid contact with toxic substances, spend less time with a TV or computer.
How to Plan a Pregnancy: Conception Period
At the stage of conception, a man should stopgo to a sauna or take hot baths, as overheating suppresses sperm activity. For the same reason, you should not wear tight underwear. The main thing for a woman is a positive attitude and physical activity. Frequent walks in the fresh air, water aerobics and yoga improve well-being. Exercises that strengthen the pelvic and abdominal muscles are especially useful. At the preparation stage, expectant parents should take folic acid, as it reduces the risk of intrauterine defects in the baby. Women are recommended to take this vitamin after conception. The most favorable time for the birth of a new life is the 12th-16th day before the start of the next menstrual cycle. For 2-3 days before the expected sexual intercourse, you should abstain from sex in order to increase the number of sperm in the semen. It is better to spend the day of conception in a romantic setting: watch a good movie, listen to your favorite music, have a pleasant conversation over a light dinner. So, the first step to a healthy pregnancy is a medical examination of both partners. Correcting your diet, giving up bad habits, and physical activity allow you to easily bear and give birth to a strong baby.
