A photo: Getty Images- Everyone who has young children, very quickly notice how these angels turn into demons when it comes to food. While you are struggling to make their diet full of vitamins and other nutrients, they are constantly trying to shove up all their nasty stuff for their plump cheeks. Here's a short list of what my kid will happily try to swallow: 1. Own goats. Middle of chicken nuggets. A slice of each apple from a bowl of fruit. Everything I eat at the moment. Soft bullets from a toy blaster. Lizunov. Petals for a bra. Everything I have prepared for a snack. The top of the sandwich with peanut butter. Bananas. 11. Hygienic pads.12. Capsules with gel for washing. Small coins. Keys. Plasticine. My makeup. The Earth. Pancakes.19. Sausage. Luminous neon sticks.21. Dog food. Cheese sticks. Deodorant. Ice cream. Sweets and everything that looks like candy.Photo: Getty Images

And what do experts advise?

Useful tips for parents whonotice problems with their child's appetite, says the Russian Union of Pediatricians. If your child constantly does not want to eat, you should first consult with your doctor. Decreased appetite occurs with diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and kidneys, neuropsychiatric disorders, chronic infections, including tonsillitis, sinusitis, excessive growth of adenoids, helminthic invasions, hypovitaminosis. Often, restless children with the so-called hyperreactivity syndrome refuse to eat.

What will help increase appetite

1. Power supply mode.Often, parents themselves are to blame for the fact that the baby refuses to eat. This is typical for the most part of families where the feeding schedule is not observed, in between main feedings the child is fed with flour and confectionery products, fruits, excessively loaded with liquids, especially juices. In order for the child to eat more willingly, it is necessary to diversify the menu as much as possible, feed him only at certain hours and in a calm environment, in a clean and ventilated room, without rushing and in no case forcing him to eat. All attempts to entertain the baby during meals (pictures, fairy tales, toys, etc.) do not contribute to improving his appetite, but only teach him to eat without noticing the food. 2. The child's good mood and his readiness to eat. Children who are rarely outdoors, move little and become lethargic from this eat poorly. The child will eat poorly if he is overtired, if he is seated at the table heated up by an active game or upset, with tears in his eyes. The temperature of the environment and the baby's body should also be taken into account, since overheating increases thirst, and juice secretion and appetite decrease. Therefore, persistent feeding of children in the heat, in a stuffy hot room or during a fever can cause nausea and vomiting.
