Documents for registration of leave
First of all you need to write 2applications: one about the need for maternity leave until the child is 1.5 or 3 years old, and the second about the appointment of benefits to you. A set of relevant certificates and other papers should be attached to the applications:
- a photocopy of the birth certificate of the son or daughter;
- a certificate from the mom's company stating that she does not receive a similar leave and payment or from an educational institution that she is studying full-time.
If the father does not have a job, he needs to contact the social insurance fund to complete the paperwork. In this case, the following should be attached to the above set of documents:
- work record book;
- passport;
- An extract from the employment center that a man does not receive unemployment benefits.
If the father intends to receive additional benefitsincreased benefit, as a low-income person, he must attach an official certificate of income of the baby's mother to the documents. In Europe, the practice is widespread when the mother continues to work, and the father goes on vacation and takes care of the child. In our country, this is not often the case, although the law allows it.
