It turned out that kids eat unevenly during the day and on the days of the week, and there is no logic in preferring foods. Davis discovered three important circumstances. First, the children who chose their own menus developed very well, none of them became neither too thin nor full. Secondly, the diet of such a child eventually included all the necessary elements, as if he was fed on a strict scientific diet. Thirdly, after a while the state of children has dramatically improved, all the kids developed well and did not suffer from cold diseases. The principles of intuitive nutrition have been actively used in Europe for 30 years, but in Russia this direction is only gaining momentum. The central idea: refusal from diets and the permission is everything, that would be desirable. Children are sensitive to the needs of the body, in contrast to adults, limited by various kinds of prohibitions. Here are the basic principles. Feed only when he is hungry. There are days when the baby has no appetite. The reasons can be different: from a latent infection to mastering new skills. "And what, leave him hungry?" - asked caring mother. Yes, experts on intuitive nutrition will answer. Let him not eat the daily nutrient norm, but he will certainly get them in a week. Do not force to eat. When there are 2-3 spoons of soup or porridge on the plate, the parents persuade or force. The rule of a clean plate was adopted by us from childhood. What do these unwanted spoons give? Heaviness from overeating at least, and then - fatty deposits. Why these problems for our children? 3. Give the child a choice. Yes, he can take something unhelpful from the parental point of view. But having satisfied his need for sausages, the baby will soon switch his attention to porridge. The second option is that a child may want something that is not available. In such cases it is necessary to negotiate, the children are flexible, they will always agree to a substitution from the available dishes. Keep foods at arm's length. The kid can play so much that he does not want to spend time for dinner at the table. But running past a plate of fruit, he will quickly find what to satisfy an easy hunger. If you still fear for the child's empty stomach, sit down to eat yourself. He certainly will be interested in what is in the dish of mom. Legalize forbidden food. A product that is always available is no longer attractive. A common opinion is that if the child is allowed to eat sweets, he will only eat them, erroneously. Be sure to come a time when the child instead of sweets ask borscht. If the baby has an allergy, out of respect for him, exclude dangerous foods from the diet of the whole family, and let him choose from what is available. A LITTLE EXPERIENCE of his two-year-old son periodically had to be persuaded to eat. In the course were cartoons, drawing, fairy tales ... At the same time, the list of products was limited due to problems with the chair. When I allowed my son to choose, for a week he ate only cereals and drying, from the first he refused categorically. And on the weekend he asked me borsch, and insisted that I did not mix it with bread. Now that bananas, apples, pears, dried fruits and candies are in his constant access, he often opts for fruit. The pros of this food is obvious to me: I do not break my head any more than how and how to feed it, and I do not worry that he suddenly will remain hungry. The son now decides these questions himself.
