High blood pressure during early pregnancy is a rare phenomenon. Usually it, on the contrary, is lowered in the first trimester, it is explained by the restructuring of the organism. Hypertension provokes narrowing of the walls of blood vessels. This can cause hypoxia or lead to malnutrition of the fetus. This situation is fraught with abnormalities in the development of the unborn child, and in some cases, the termination of pregnancy. Deviation from the norm is considered to be a pressure increased by 5-15 units. High blood pressure during pregnancy in later terms can cause placenta detachment. This process is characterized by abundant blood loss, which can cause the death of both the mother and the baby. Although in some cases - usually in the last month - the pressure increased by several units is considered acceptable, since the weight of the fetus during this period is doubled. The baby is already fully formed, and the body is hard to cope with such a load.
