Christmas tree, tangerines, chill. The latter is an indispensable attribute of the festive table, especially in winter. And in the summer some mistresses managed to cook it. A cookies with milk? It's just a culinary sketch on the theme of "golden childhood". Kissel, birch sap - we all knew it, ate and loved. And the boiled condensed milk was a number one treat, better than any snickers, but our children are not like that. They and the snickers are not always delicious. Here chips is yes. And how will they react to food from the past? On YouTube, we found several such tasting experiments. And it turned out, it's just hilarious. It all began with the fact that not all children understand what the USSR is all about. "We have not done this in history," reports a serious dark-haired boy. However, in the food context, one should not touch politics. Let's go straight to the chill. The children looked at the gelatinous something on the plate with perplexity.Reaction to the ill-fated aspic Photo: youtube.com/videobonapp“It’s a cold soup, something like that,” one of the participants strained his memory. The girls were categorical: “What is this? I definitely won’t eat that. I don’t like that.” But they still thoughtfully began to pick at the unfortunate cold soup. The verdict: regular frozen soup. Some pecked at the jelly, while others declared it absolutely inedible. The headcheese was a bigger success. Although some would gladly trade it not even for chips, but for mom’s soup. The liver sausage turned out funny: not a single participant in the experiment was able to identify it. Most of them approved of the taste of the dish. But when they found out it was liver, they spat out the half-chewed part and declared that such food should be given to the enemy. The kids were also disappointed with the favorite treat of Soviet children – a loaf of bread with boiled condensed milk. "Caramel-flavoured superglue," commented the young gourmets. But the cookies soaked in milk were to their taste. "It's like cereal, only old. Typical SS cereal," the children diligently sought comparisons. But overall, "ten out of ten." They tested canned sprats, a loaf with butter and sugar, kissel (warm jelly? Ugh), and potatoes baked over a campfire. The children's reactions were priceless. However, see for yourself.
