Family Traditions: Examples

I want to transfer these values to my ownfamily and pass on to your children. For example, the aroma of freshly baked pancakes takes me to the village with my grandmother. When I decorate a Christmas tree and take out old glass toys from a box, then, as in childhood, I again believe in New Year's miracle and magic ... In order to give my child as many of these moments as possible, for each season I introduced several traditions into the family.

Autumn Traditions

Have fun with your child, arrange a real fireworks display of leaves, run after each other in the bright, rustling foliage. Save your autumn in a beautiful herbarium. And when the first cold weather comes, you can arrange the coziest day of the year: bake the most autumnal pie - charlotte, brew delicious tea, wrap yourself in a warm blanket and read the kindest book or watch your favorite cartoons with older children all evening, forgetting about the restrictions for one day. On a long autumn evening, you can gather the whole family at one table and make dumplings together, and then, of course, arrange a real tasting. You can make dumplings with themed surprises. For example, adding a piece of carrot means love, a turnip means a change of job, or coming up with your own surprise fillings.

Winter traditions

Let's start with the well-known ones.Every New Year I decorate the Christmas tree and the apartment for the holiday. Many of my friends have grown up and stopped doing this. And in vain. Even a few bright balls, lights on the windows and a spruce branch in a vase create an incredible holiday atmosphere. And for small children, decorating the apartment is a whole adventure. For several years now, I have been baking Christmas gingerbread with cinnamon and spices in the form of different figures. Even on the eve of a trip to the maternity hospital, I decorated the finished gingerbread with sugar icing. You can cut out gingerbread figures with the whole family or make a real gingerbread house. Everything around is filled with magical aromas, and guests go home and take away delicious bags of treats with them.Photo:Getty Images We decided to buy one new Christmas tree toy for our daughter every year. When she turns 18, we will have a whole New Year's collection. However, she slightly damaged the first toy by breaking off the glass cap of Santa Claus. We glued it back on and decided not to change the toy. Let the story remain exactly as it is, and not embellished. Before the holiday, everyone looks for gifts for their loved ones. You can give all family members beautiful pajamas and go to bed in them on New Year's Eve, and in the morning, examine the rest of the gifts under the tree in them. Now many families hold holiday photo sessions before the New Year. You can invite a photographer to your home or go to an already decorated photo studio. If you ask the photographer to send you a few shots quickly, you can send your relatives New Year's cards with your photo.
