Sven Nordkvist. "Four secrets of Findus", publishing house "Albus Corvus / White Crow"

Since I follow children's literature,Of course, I heard about Findus and Petson. But all the books from this series that I know, unfortunately, did not suit us, they are designed for older children. And then I learned about the Four Secrets of Findus. This book was created specifically for the youngest readers who need to grab everything, scroll through and study as actively as possible. It is a convenient small format with thick cardboard glossy pages. Small fingers will easily turn the pages, but they will not be able to tear them. Together with the funny old man Petson, we solve riddles that his charming cat Findus told us. Together we will visit the hen house and arrange a stir among its inhabitants, look into the workshop full of unusual tools, wander among the beds in the garden. The illustrations are colorful, interesting, leaving room for imagination. On each page except the main characters live tiny fairy creatures in small houses, and they are so interesting to consider. There are so many details that every time you can find something new. The book is suitable for the tiniest half-year readers, but I'm sure it will be interesting for 2–3-year-old children as well. continue acquaintance with the already beloved heroes.

Vladimir Suteev. "Tales and Pictures", publishing the "Kid"

Vladimir Suteev - widely knownanimator, writer and artist. Even if you did not hear his name, most likely they read his fairy tales in childhood or watched cartoons created by him, for example, “Bag of apples”, “Snowman-mailer”, “Different wheels”. In our library there was already not one book with his illustrations. And finally, his own fairy tales appeared with his own pictures, naturally. When you open a book, the stories literally come to life. Together with the characters, we learn to be generous, because the same hare, hedgehog, crow and bear could share an apple. We learn to be kinder and help even when it seems to be impossible, as in the fairy tale “Under the Mushroom.” Add to this Suteev’s signature illustrations that are very realistic and kind. It is amazing to read a book with your child and remember the cartoons that she herself watched in childhood, to recognize long-known heroes. I was very pleased with the publication: a beautiful book in a hard cover with coated pages, excellent print quality. This copy is a real decoration of any children's library.

Yu and Thomas Wislander. Mama Mu Reads, illustrator Sven Nordkvist, Albus Corvus / White Crow Publishers

Great book for toddlers who are alreadyversed in animals. We bought it when a one-year-old daughter began to distinguish birds, to depict a cow. Although in fact the book is designed for older readers, 2.5−3 years. There is a whole series about a cute cow named Mama Mu and the grumbling crax of Krax. I chose the issue about reading, because my main goal now is to instill in my child a love of literature. And for this task, this book fits perfectly. Mama Mu is an unusual cow, she decided to learn to read and achieved her goal. But the harmful Kraks will not understand in any way why she needs it and why she cannot behave like all the other ruminants. The main characters are very different, but curiosity and books unite them: Mama Mu likes to read, and Krax wants to write a book and get the Nobel Prize. Together they are trying to uncover the mystery, the answer to which they could not find in the books: why do cows eat green grass and milk turns white? The book consists of crow and cow dialogues, which you can read roles in a funny way, changing voice and intonation. perfectly complement the text. The pictures are so emotional, funny, it is easy to read the characters of the main characters. I think your child will want to learn more after reading and ask new questions to which you will try to find answers together.

Agniya Barto. “About the little ones”, publishing house “Malysh”

Poems familiar to all from an early age. I myself enjoyed listening to them in childhood, and now I read them to my daughter with no less enthusiasm. This book is for little ones and about little ones. Pro kids who, like your child, discover this world. And your baby can grow and rejoice with the heroes of the book. Draw together with Masha garden where the currant grows, admire yourself in the mirror like a princess, visit her children's room, which looks more like a fairy-tale country. Together with two sisters, bring up little brother Andryusha, save him from mosquitoes, help him bathe in the bath and protect him from thunderstorms. Good poems that are simply read and remembered, and the same kindly illustrations that perfectly complement the text. All the pictures are filled with incredible light, all the colors of childhood. I can recommend this book to little readers from the year, as the poems are very easily perceived. But there is a lot of text here, it is interesting, instructive and filled with many events and heroes. Therefore, it is worth re-reading it in three and five years.

Olof and Lena Landstrom. “Be and Me. Cleaning ”, publishing house“ Albus Corvus / White Crow ”

The book is for the youngest readers, from 6 months. On each page, the minimum amount of text, literally on the line. I think it will not be so interesting to three-year-olds. But for the baby just right. The book itself is square, small format. You can take it with you on the road or clinic and distract the child with reading. The main characters are the lamb Be and the sheep Me. The plot is very simple, close to our ordinary life. Be and Me started house-cleaning, and the cunning vacuum grabbed and swallowed a sock: “Flups!” After saving such an important piece of clothing and finishing the cleaning, our heroes themselves had to take a bath. And when so many important things are redone, it is especially pleasant to sit together and drink a glass of milk with cookies! After reading the book, the kid can take a fresh look at the routine household chores. And children who are afraid of a vacuum cleaner will understand that it is not so terrible, it can be defeated. Drawings are as simple as the story itself, without many details and bright colors. There is no madness of colors and artistic masterpieces. Just cute lamb and lamb, who invited us to look at their usual day. If your child likes charming Be and Me, you can get to know them better in the book “Be and Me. Picnic". Take a basket with delicious supplies, sit down with the heroes in the boat and go to a real picnic on the lake, which is especially nice on a hot summer day.
