Museum Festival "Children's Days in St. Petersburg"
A photo: archive of the festival "Children's days in St. Petersburg" When: October 31 - November 9, November 15-16 and November 22-23 "On duty" trip to the museum or the exhibition is turned into an exciting journey. For this purpose, the festival was invented. 44 museums will take part in it. In the program - interactive exhibitions, gaming sessions, scientific shows, quests, toy-crossing (exchange of toys) and much more. The main program consists of 6 routes, each designed for children of a certain age, and you can start the journey in any museum-participant of the festival.
The program of the festival
5–8 years oldAPPLE ROUTE:Bread Museum, V. V. Dokuchaev Soil Science Museum, Elaginoostrovsky Palace Museum. Children will learn where flowers like to grow and how people used to get ready for a ball in the old days, what gingerbread and a newspaper have in common and why a monument was erected to a worm. PLUM ROUTE: Anichkov Palace History Museum, Narvskaya Zastava Museum, Commoner Petersburg Memorial Museum. Travelers will be told how to use a typewriter, what games were played in the palace and what remedies were considered medicines in the old days. 9–12 years RASPBERRY ROUTE: A. V. Suvorov Memorial Museum, M. M. Zoshchenko Apartment Museum, Alexander Palace in Tsarskoye Selo. The children will learn who was awarded a diamond feather for their hat, for what merits people become holders of honorary orders, and why people bring souvenirs from their travels. CHERRY ROUTE: Pavlovsk Museum-Reserve, F. I. Shalyapin House-Museum, Leningrad Zoo. Guests will be introduced to kings and tsars: in the animal world, on the stage, or in Russian history. Children will be able to try on a boyar's caftan and hear an aria recorded 100 years ago. BLUEBERRY ROUTE: Arctic and Antarctic Museum, Rumyantsev Mansion, Kronstadt History Museum. In search of real giants, schoolchildren will visit the North Pole and Karl Bulla's photo studio, descend to the bottom of the Baltic Sea, and work in a restoration workshop. And at the end of each journey, all participants will be able to create a portrait of their giant and take it as a souvenir. 13–15 years old BLACKBERRY ROUTE: Alliluyevs' Apartment Museum, Museum of Urban Electric Transport, State Hermitage Museum, Museum of the History of Religion. In the Hermitage, schoolchildren will see a short "play" with high-ranking characters in the interiors of the palace. In the Alliluyevs' Apartment Museum - the voices of the most ordinary people whose lives were affected by the tragic history of the 20th century, in the Museum of the History of Religion - a story about the fates of Buddhists who remained faithful to their chosen path in the most difficult circumstances, and in the Museum of Electric Transport - funny and sad dialogues in old trams.
