Ann Neville became pregnant when she was 30. She and her husband were not going to have more children - it just happened. And Ellie was born. A few years later her father, Lin, became very sick. He was diagnosed with a rare type of blood cancer. And despite the fact that in their small town Pembroke Dock there was no specialized oncology clinic, the doctors managed to put Lina on her feet. In gratitude, Ellie decided to raise funds for charity and donate them to the town hospital.Photo: facebook.comThe girl decided to auction the flag of Pembrokeshire County, which she made herself. Exposed the amount that would like to collect - 500 pounds. And the girl’s desire to help people was so impressed with everyone that the fundraising campaign had become much wider than anyone could have imagined. Now the amount that collected the flag of Ellie, was almost one hundred and nine thousand pounds. And the pound, we recall, is the most expensive currency. If you count in rubles, you get almost eight million. This is a fortune for any hospital. “Such a sum is a great opportunity to buy equipment needed for cancer treatment,” said Father Ellie, who by that time became the coordinator of the support service for cancer patients. - We are very proud of Ellie. What she has accomplished is simply amazing. We are pleased that we can make such a contribution to improving the work of Pembrokeshire Hospital. ”Photo: facebook.comEllie has received praise not only from her parents. The House of Lords presented her with a civic award. The city council also awarded the girl. And in general, Ellie has become a local celebrity: all the world's newspapers wrote about her, she was invited to speak on the radio. "We will continue to raise funds until the government decides to open a real oncology department in our hospital," promised Lyn Neville. Well, while the government is thinking, the hospital is already buying new equipment. And, it would seem, just some flag made by a seven-year-old child in a craft lesson.
