Stockpiling is a bad habit
When stored in the refrigerator for a long time, manyPlant products lose their beneficial properties. For example, after a week in the freezer, spinach retains only 60% of lutein (a substance beneficial for vision), and broccoli loses about half of its antioxidants over the same period. Solution: buy quick-frozen products: they are usually picked at the peak of the harvest (and therefore contain the maximum benefit) and frozen instantly (this method preserves most vitamins and microelements). Wrap eggs in paper and turn them over every two days. Do not store fatty foods in plastic bags, use foil or waxed paper. Vegetables will stay fresh longer if you wrap them in a damp towel. By and large, many products can have their life extended. But think about it, is it worth it to suffer like that if you can just make a shopping schedule?
