Large dishLarge dishPhoto:ShutterstockA real gift for lovers of Italian cuisine was prepared by the chefs of the Californian restaurant Buca di Beppo: a giant dish of pasta, the total weight of which, without taking into account the weight of the dishes, reached 6.3 tons. The spaghetti is covered with 454 liters of Marinara sauce and is on display in the restaurant's parking lot. The restaurant has declared Pasta Day next Monday. Anyone can get a free portion of spaghetti weighing no more than 400 grams from the giant cauldron, and the remains of the dish that visitors to the establishment cannot handle will be sent to local farmers to fatten cattle. The restaurant owners hope to record the giant dish in the Guinness Book of Records and are currently waiting for official confirmation of the record. Until now, the highest record belongs to the Italian eatery chain Sbarro.
