He calls himself not a sculptor, but an inventor. And it should be noted that the mayors of Kyiv like his inventions: on the Kiev Maidan alone, two of the author's "inventions" were installed at once, which have become local landmarks: the "bench-sculpture "Lovers' Lanterns" and the "Tree with Chairs". Several more works are scattered in other corners of the center of the Ukrainian capital; For example, he also owns the "Bench with Chairs" near the Kyiv Passage. Only this March, a sculpture was installed in Kyiv, also by Vladimir Belokon. The new sculpture by the inventive blacksmith is a model of the globe, 2 meters in diameter and weighing 300 kilograms. The model is entirely made up of elements of women's underwear. When asked why women's underwear, the author replies that his sculpture is a monument to female beauty, which rules the world, and underwear most accurately expresses the female essence. The opening of the monument will take place on Monday afternoon, August 23, in the park on Gorodetsky Street, 8. The date was not chosen by chance: an unofficial holiday, All-Ukrainian Underwear Day, will be celebrated on this day.
