Festive Table Ideas".Photo: Press Service ArchivesAbsolute Russian champion in confectionery art, famous chef and TV presenter Alexander Seleznev, together with the Eksmo publishing house, presented his own new books - "Confectionery World Hits" and "Sunday Dinners. Festive Table Ideas". The presentation took place in the lush decor of the Rodchenko Hall of the recently opened InterContinental Hotel. First of all, the hero of the occasion shared with journalists, colleagues and fans of his culinary creativity the secrets of writing new books. The first of them, "Confectionery World Hits", is a collection of the most popular and famous traditional desserts from different countries of the world. Alexander Seleznev admitted that he loves to travel and especially try national dishes, so he has accumulated many such recipes. However, for his book, he selected only the classics that are recognizable to everyone and explained how they are really prepared in their homeland. Thus, with the help of the pastry chef's new book, it will be easy to prepare a real Italian "Tiramisu", "New York" cheesecake, French "Madeleine" cookies and, Chinese ginger cake and. Seleznev admitted that not all the chefs with whom the pastry chef communicated while working on the book were willing to share their secrets, so he had to resort to tricks: offering to exchange for his own recipe, and sometimes even paying. The second gift book - "Sunday Dinners. Festive Table Ideas" - is designed to save housewives from panic before receiving guests. "You will no longer have to rack your brains over what to cook for the festive table and how to combine dishes. I have thought of everything for you. The menu of this book is divided by seasons: winter, spring, summer, autumn, and each one presents soup, salad, main course and, of course, dessert that go well with each other," the author explained the contents of the book. By the way, the menu of "Sunday Dinners" fully complies with the laws of healthy eating. Healthy products, harmonious proportions and rich taste will allow the owners of the new book and their guests not only to enjoy the festive meal, but also to stay slim and healthy. During the evening, the author not only talked about the secrets of writing books, but also held competitions. For example, guests were asked to decorate two large three-tiered cakes, a wedding cake and a children's birthday cake, with edible decorative leaves, flowers and drawing paste.
