Elena Chekalina: A pug Motya lives in our dacha. A French bulldog Boniface, or Bonya, recently settled in a Moscow apartment. He is only three months old. Lenya and I have long been indifferent to the breeds that evolved from the ancient Chinese dog pho. They are great companions.
Leonid: We arranged the space gradually. At once I just would not pull. We also have antique furniture and high-tech items. This mixture must be treated boldly. Otherwise, boring, hard and like in a museum. And when aluminum and glass are added to antiques, it turns out vividly. There are things that wander with us for decades from apartment to apartment. Chairs, upholstered in striped fabric, bought 30 years ago and restored. They are the beginning of the 20th century. The table belonged to Lena's grandfather. And the glass chest of the Russian Rococo era came to us by chance. Our friend bought it in the peeled form, we helped restore. But when he acquired the museum view, the Ministry of Culture forbade exporting it abroad. So he stayed with us.
