Most often the rooms are cool becauseBatteries do not work at full power. And not communal services are to blame. It is possible that in one of the sections of the radiator there was a cork of rust. The air does not come out of the battery and does not allow hot water into the heater. In such cases, part of the radiator is cold and part is hot. Where sections are cold and rust has accumulated. Heat this area with a hairdryer. Most likely, the air will begin to circulate. But that is not all. It is necessary to enhance the efficiency of heating. To do this, you must install a metal foil screen between the wall and the battery. It will not allow the radiator to heat the street, but will hold hot air inside the apartment. Please note that the damper should be larger than the radiator. In addition, between it and the battery should be left a gap of 3-4 mm. If the heater is covered with a decorative screen, remove it for the winter period. It also retains heat. If, despite all efforts, the battery remains cold, call the specialists from the housing department, do not try to disassemble the radiator yourself. There may be a leak in the device, and if it is not detected in time, an accident may occur.

It happens that the batteries are red-hot to the limit, and inthe apartment is still cool. In such cases, the problem is in the leakage of heat. Most often this situation develops in corner apartments. The walls are frozen and need to be fixed. Carefully inspect the corners in the rooms. Did you notice mold in them, wallpaper wet? Spend your hand under the window sill. Feel the flow of cold air? Most likely, there appeared a gap. Best of all, liquid insulation will cope with the problem. This mixture is a cross between a paint and a primer. Its consistency is reminiscent of sour cream. You can buy the composition in any hardware store. The names may be different: liquid insulation, insulating, energy-saving, heat-reflecting paint. Each manufacturer chooses its name. The composition is applied easily using a roller, brush, spatula. Thanks to the thick consistency of the paint, the holes are blocked. If the windows in the apartment are old, wooden, do not forget to insulate them too. The stores have a ready seal. Do not want to spend money on his purchase? It is easy to seal the gaps in the frames with paper and paste. You can also use laundry soap as an adhesive (in the spring it will be easier to remove the protective tape). If the holes in the frames are very large, eliminate them with putty. You can buy ready-made mixture, but it is not difficult to prepare the composition for insulation independently. It is enough to mix the two parts of alabaster with one part of the chalk, add a little water to make a thick gruel.
Search guilty
it is useless if the radiators are slightly warm. In this case, you will have to communicate with public utilities. Check the temperature in the rooms. Is it below + 18˚С (for corner apartments this indicator is +20˚С)? Write a statement to the management company. In response to a complaint, representatives of the public utilities should make a control measurement of air temperature.
