Tomsk artist Tamara Khokhryakova presented atthe exhibition is a rich collection of dolls. Viewers can see more than a thousand wooden dolls - both collectible and their own painting. The largest is over 50 cm, the smallest is rice grain. Tamara Mikhailovna Khokhryakova is a teacher of history and social studies by profession, currently working with children in the studio Russian Souvenirs in secondary school No. 22 according to the author's program. The dolls, created by the artist and her students, are represented in the Moscow Museum of Matryoshka, and the master herself is awarded the medal “For Contribution to the Heritage of the Peoples of Russia”.A photo: The archive of the Tomsk Regional Museum of Art Tamara Mikhailovna became interested in painted wooden pupae as early as the 1980s. I first bought my first nesting doll on the Arbat in Moscow. And for the first time painted a pupa 17 years ago in a granddaughter. Now the master draws up layouts for up to 100 places. The technology of working on the nested doll is very interesting. Tamara Mikhailovna buys fake blanks for future dolls in Moscow. First you need to inspect the "underwear" - matryoshka blank for cracks, knots, hollows ... After inspecting, the blank is primed and sanded until a smooth surface is obtained. Then with a soft pencil draw a face, sleeves, hands, an apron. In a mixture of white gouache with ocher, the “corporal” color of the face of the doll is obtained. “We immediately bring in pink cheeks on the layer of wet paint. Then we paint the eyes, lips and hair, ”advises Tamara Mikhailovna. When the face is ready, put the background of the veil, sundress, apron. And only then the matryoshka gets all the beauty - a decorative painting is scattered on a sundress, apron, scarf. And finally, varnish coating - such a toy is not afraid of moisture, and acrylic or gouache flash even brighter. Of course, the author's nesting dolls have much more delights and design options, therefore this work is valued higher. The “family”, that is, the layout of seven places, the master, if he sits down at work very tightly, can paint in a few days. The layout of 30 nesting dolls can take about six months, since the sizes of the first dolls are larger, and the “family” itself is huge. The price for a layout of 50 places is about 100 thousand rubles, but given the fact that the master needs to do this work for almost a year, this is not a lot of money. In the collection of Tamara Khokhryakova there is a layout “Wedding”. The artist herself admitted that she painted the bride and the groom with the daughter and her husband, other members of this small "family" are placed in smaller dolls. A whole set of dolls dedicated to Tomsk and its universities. There are dolls inlaid with birch bark, there are modern ones decorated with rhinestones.
