He really liked it. Then music became his main business, and boats became his hobby. It all started with one rubber boat that we brought from Spain. Then we bought a launch, and only then did we start buying iron boats that didn’t look very good. We sold our first restored boat to a friend a few years later. Now we have one restored boat “M.V. Lomonosov” in operation and another one is under construction.Photo: Antenna archiveHave you had Lomonosov for a long time?Already 11 years. 22 months it was restored. Now the crew (house assistants) or, when necessary, the hired specialists maintain it in excellent condition. It's like a house, only “hemorrhoids” are more. Imagine: there is a four-access Khrushchev with 80 apartments and 80 meters in length. Someone acquires several country houses or furnishes them with chairs of 15 thousand euros, and we invest here. They have one expensive chair, and we have 293. I remember the exact amount! And the chairs are not simple: from oak with a filler from horsehair and coconut chips. At first we wanted to buy new chairs, but experts looked at them and said: “What are you, this is antique!” Then we simply dragged them over. The ship was 52 years old, it belonged to the Northern Shipping Company, walked along the Dvina River and the White Sea. Imagine what his story is. We have an old piano on which our Soviet composers played. Paintings, figurines, a collection of sailing vessels, bells - we all brought them from home. Artists are given a lot, and friends know what presents we should make: everything for the ship.
